It is a very run down, the customer service is not great. The room we had the beds were old and you could feel the springs in it.

Our stay at the lodge was… fine, but definitely not somewhere I’d choose again unless it was my only option. The biggest disappointment was the breakfast. As someone with dietary restrictions, there was almost nothing I could eat. No one mentioned any alternatives until my very last day, when I was finally told about the breakfast at the casino. By then it was too late to be helpful. Overall, the food options were extremely limited.
Our room was okay, but the toilet was wobbly and the whole space—along with the entire property—felt very dated. I’m glad we got a deal, because the regular price wouldn’t match the experience.
Next time, we’ll stay at the other option with the kitchenette (the Marriott). The casino area is nice, but it’s not actually part of the hotel, so it doesn’t make up for the rest. If this lodge ends up being my last choice, I’d stay again, but I’d definitely bring my own food
We were catfished by this hotel for sure. The photos online must be from its glory days cause she is rough now. You can see it used to be quite the catch, but now it's like 10% of the hotel got new carpet and wood finishing and the rest has the old carpet and an odd assortment of fake flowers and nicknacks. The pool is trying really hard but the slides are so worn they honestly sound and look like they are gonna give up. Having a dog friendly room on the second floor was different as most places put you on the main floor. Breakfast was complimentary but pretty gross. All the staff are SUPER friendly and the beds are actually cozy.

The pool is FREEZING. we were looking forward the most to swimming but it was way too cold for us adults, let alone my two year old to really enjoy it.
The Reception Manager from Africa is great lady with excellent customer service skills. The Breakfast is exceptional like 5 star Hotels. Literally you won’t get that level of breakfast anywhere in that region. Bread n Butter pudding freshly made plus Egg and bean Wraps by Chef. I love it. Definitely worth staying.
