Our stay at Hotel Lungarno in Florence was absolutely exceptional. From the moment we arrived, every member of the team made us feel genuinely welcome with their warm hospitality, professionalism, and attention to detail.
The hotel is beautiful, perfectly located, and offers stunning views of the Arno River. Every interaction with the staff exceeded our expectations, they were always friendly, attentive, and eager to make our stay memorable.
Thank you to the entire Hotel Lungarno team for providing such outstanding service and creating an unforgettable experience. We can't wait to return and would highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Florence!
Absolutely the best hotel in every way. From the moment we walked in we were treated like royalty. The location of the hotel is unsurpassed and easily walkable to the best sites in Florence. The staff is kind, professional and extremely courteous. Can’t say enough good things about our family experience at Hotel Lungarno. 20 out of 10.
Having traveled extensively across several continents and stayed at many luxury hotels over the years, I can honestly say that Hotel Lungarno is one of the finest hotel experiences I have ever had.
The property is beautiful, elegant, and perfectly located, with breathtaking views of the Arno River and just a short walk from Florence’s most iconic landmarks. Every detail has been thoughtfully designed, creating an atmosphere that feels both luxurious and welcoming.
What truly sets Hotel Lungarno apart, however, is its people. Every member of the team made us feel genuinely welcome from the moment we arrived. Their warmth, professionalism, attention to detail, and sincere desire to make our stay memorable were exceptional. It is rare to find a hotel where service feels so natural and heartfelt.
We were traveling with our 10-year-old son, and everyone made him feel just as welcome as us, which made our family trip even more special.
Our room was beautiful, impeccably maintained, and exceptionally comfortable. Every aspect of our stay reflected the highest standards of hospitality.
Florence is an unforgettable city, and staying at Hotel Lungarno made the experience even more extraordinary.
Without hesitation, I can say this is one of the best hotels I have ever stayed in, and I look forward to returning.
Thank you to the entire Hotel Lungarno team for creating such wonderful memories.
We really enjoyed our stay at this boutique hotel. It’s private, peaceful, and all of the staff were friendly and helpful. We had one small issue during breakfast, but it was just a minor accident and didn’t affect our overall experience.
A special thank you to Belel! He showed us around our room when we arrived, helped us plan our stay, and even took some amazing photos for us—even with the sun behind us! We really appreciated his kindness and hospitality. Thanks again for making our stay even more enjoyable.
Beautiful hotel with excellent service in a perfect location right on the river with views of the Ponte Vecchio. The service is incredible and every area of the hotel is elegant and well maintained. The concierge desk is very helpful and knowledgeable. Our room was stunning! Would definitely stay here again!
Fantastic experience. No complaints, just a great stay, lovely experience with very hospitable staff. From parking to leaving 5 stars indeed ! Everyone was very kind. The staff were helpful in everything. They recommended exceptional places when asked. Responds very quickly to any question or need. The breakfast buffet was top tier and the views from this Hotel are picture perfect. Will be returning.
I stayed at Hotel Lungarno, and from the moment I arrived it felt less like checking into a room and more like stepping into a quietly polished experience. The hotel’s design strikes a rare balance, elegant without being intimidating, stylish without trying too hard. Everything feels intentional, from the warm welcome at reception to the serene, refined atmosphere throughout the property.
What stood out most was the overall sense of comfort and ease. The staff were consistently attentive and professional, but never overbearing, exactly the kind of service that makes you feel cared for without distracting from your stay. Whether I needed a quick recommendation or just wanted things handled smoothly, it was taken care of with genuine competence and a pleasant demeanor.
The rooms are beautifully appointed, offering a calm, luxurious retreat after a day out. The attention to detail is clear: thoughtful touches, a welcoming ambiance, and a level of cleanliness and upkeep that made everything feel “new” even though the hotel has its own character. I particularly appreciated the restful atmosphere, it’s the kind of place where you can truly unwind.
Hotel Lungarno also delivers when it comes to overall atmosphere and location-friendly convenience. The hotel feels like a destination in itself, yet it’s easy to imagine using it as a base to explore nearby highlights. Even when I wasn’t doing much beyond relaxing, it never felt dull, there’s a quiet energy to the property that makes downtime feel special.
Finally, the experience as a whole was memorable because it’s cohesive: design, service, comfort, and hospitality all work together. If you’re looking for a hotel that feels high-end but not cold, and beautiful but still welcoming, Hotel Lungarno is absolutely worth it.
Highly recommended. I’d happily stay here again.
Our month-long stay at Hotel Lungarno in Florence during January 2026 was nothing short of exceptional. Although this was only our second visit to Hotel Lungarno—we previously spent two wonderful weeks here the year before—it further confirmed why this property has become one of our favorite places to stay in Italy.
Over the years, we have also had the pleasure of staying several times at Portrait Firenze, another outstanding property within the Lungarno Collection owned by the Ferragamo family. In fact, it was the consistently extraordinary level of service we experienced there that first inspired us to try Hotel Lungarno. We are delighted to say that the same commitment to excellence is evident throughout this remarkable hotel.
A special thank you goes to Andrea, the Guest Relations Manager for exceptional professionalism and to Giulia, the Front Desk Agent for the warm, personal attention that helped make our stay so memorable. The entire Guest Services team consistently went above and beyond to ensure every detail was handled flawlessly.
We arrived after my spouse had suffered a significant fall prior to our trip, which created some unexpected challenges during our first few days. The maintenance and housekeeping teams were extraordinarily gracious and accommodating as they helped us through several mattress changes until we found the arrangement that best supported a comfortable recovery. Their patience, kindness, and genuine concern were deeply appreciated.
For this visit, we stayed on the apartment side of the property in one of only four beautifully outfitted accommodations. At approximately 100 square meters, it was quite possibly the most beautifully appointed room we have ever experienced. The apartment was spacious, elegant, and thoughtfully designed, providing all the comforts of home while maintaining the luxury expected from a world-class hotel.
One feature we particularly appreciated was the small but fully functional kitchen. The hotel thoughtfully stocked it with pots, pans, dishes, and silverware, allowing us to prepare a couple of authentic meals during our extended stay. The full-size European refrigerator was another wonderful convenience, making it easy to stay hydrated and store leftovers...so many leftovers!
The housekeeping team was exceptional throughout our month-long stay. I believe nightly turndown service is reserved for the hotel side, but for us, this arrangement worked perfectly and was more than offset by the quality and professionalism of the staff. Please remember to tip your housekeeper; they may be your best friend in Florence.
The hotel itself is exquisite, featuring elegant interiors with subtle nautical influences that reflect its unique distinction as the only hotel in Florence situated directly on the Arno River. The design is refined, sophisticated, and perfectly complements the surrounding beauty of the city.
The location is equally outstanding. Situated on the Oltrarno side of Florence, just across the Ponte Vecchio, Hotel Lungarno provides ideal access to both sides of the city. Whether exploring museums, shopping, dining, or simply wandering Florence's historic streets, everything is conveniently within reach.
Having been a concierge at a 5-star resort in a previous life, what ultimately sets the Hotel Lungarno apart is its people. From Guest Services to Housekeeping, Maintenance, and every team member we encountered, the level of care and attention was truly remarkable. After two stays—and more than 6 weeks spent enjoying this extraordinary property—we can confidently say that Hotel Lungarno discreetly delivers one of the finest hospitality experiences we have ever encountered. What a place to call home!
Everything was absolutely incredible, from the moment we pulled up - staff was so friendly, welcoming, accommodating and overall just wonderful. Angelo was unforgettable, sweetly naming our 4
month old “The Viking” and ensuing that we were taken care of at every turn! Location was perfection, on the river with great views and just steps away Pontivecco Bridge and all other sights! Belal was so kind to take photos of us in the iconic spot with the wonderful views in the background. It was so hot outside and the hotel was cool and comfortable in all spaces. The breakfast spread was absolutely beautiful and delicious as were the drinks and snacks in the bar. We would most definitely stay here again for any future travel to charming Florence.
Dear Mr Spagnuolo,
My wife and I had the pleasure of dining at your hotel last Saturday while on a weekend trip to Florence to celebrate our 40th wedding anniversary on 20th June. Although we were not staying at the hotel, we stopped by for lunch and had such a good time that we reserved a table for dinner and returned again later. We thoroughly enjoyed both meals and the splendid views of the Ponte Vecchio from the terrace, as well as the service from your team which was exemplary. After dinner we retired to the lounge to enjoy pouring over books we had picked up earlier that day on a visit to the Uffizi Museum. It was a perfect way to end a most enjoyable day.
I’m pleased we had the unexpected opportunity to spend some time in your beautiful hotel which helped to make the day even more memorable. If we have an opportunity to visit Florence again, we will certainly look to stay with you next time. I didn’t want to let the opportunity pass without sending special thanks to you and your team.
Kind regards,
J+L
Lovely hotel, excellent service! Our river view room was spectacular. Will return!
Over three separate trips, I had the privilege of spending thirteen nights at the Lungarno. There are many praises for the hotel—the rooms are luxurious, the views iconic, the bathrooms gorgeous, the location could not be any better for exploring Florence. The concierge team was consistently the highlight of the hotel. They are highly knowledgeable, discreet, and deeply connected to the city. I was there for personal reasons and needed assistance—Guido, Ilaria, Andrea, Lorenzo, Guilia. Zakaria and the rest of the team provided support, competence, kindness and problem-solving skills that were truly amazing. There is no doubt they are the most spectacular hotel team I have every encountered with a remarkable consistency of the impeccable standards of this brilliantly located hotel. My meals were wonderful, from the tasting menu at the Borgo San Jacopo to the casual meals in the PIcteau Bistrot to my omelette in the morning. Be sure to ask about the possibility of special tours offered by the hotel; I had a delightful visit to the Palazzo Capponi and a tour of the wonderful art in the hotel public areas.
I stayed here for 4 nights. The location is prime as all the major attractions are less than 15 minutes in walking distance. It can be quite a walk from the train station so I recommend just taxing a taxi from the airport to the hotel. The service was impeccable from house keeping and those managing the lounge/breakfast area, front door, and front desk. Everyone greeted me with a smile. House keeping was thorough and the room was clean. It can get a bit noisy in the afternoon outside but at night there wasn't any noise. I did not have any issues sleeping. Shower temperature was adjustable/good.
Hotel Lungarno is a fantastic hotel with a perfect location right on the Arno River in the heart of Florence. The rooms were spacious and very clean. And the staff were incredible - friendly, helpful, and attentive, they created a very welcoming atmosphere. We loved our stay and hope to be back soon.
Hotel Lungarno is an amazing gem, right in the heart of Florence! The hotel manger, Guido, and his staff are all splendid and friendly, and spend time talking to guests - the service is truly impeccable. The rooms are comfortable and extremely clean. The hotel lounge overlooks the Arno River with inside and outside seating, and amazing views of ponte vecchio. The breakfast buffet is wonderful, and the staff rush to bring you cappuccino or espresso any extra food items you want from the kitchen. The location is perfect - everything is walkable. I have stayed in hotels all over the world, and usually prefer large corporate hotels over boutiques, to ensure more amenities. But Lungarno is an absolutely charming gem, tucked away in the heart of beautiful Florence - you cannot go wrong. We have nothing negative to say, other than we did not want to go home!
Delightful stay at Hotel Lungarno. Beautiful accommodations, central and walkable to sites in Florence. Friendly and helpful staff. A must stay when visiting this beautiful city.
We just loved Hotel Lungarno! The staff was kind and welcoming, the family room was perfect for us (two adults, two 11-year-old boys). The location was fantastic - just across the river from all the museums and sights, which made it easy to walk everywhere we wanted to go but was also a little quieter. The beautiful breakfast buffet was a fantastic start to each day! We can't wait to go back to Florence and would definitely stay here again!
Ok, more fresh fruit and granola would be nice.
Room 579 is strange. Very dark and like being in a cave. The "loft" area wasn't really of much use. The bathroom door would not close. Overall the room felt like a dungeon.
