I’m not going to lie I am extremely disappointed with this hotel, I am sat in the hotel as I write this and I am not happy with my service. To start with the staff were not the friendliest, the lady behind the desk was not very happy and didn’t make me feel very welcome, I could have got past this but entered my room as was even less happy. The door did not have any additional lock features (as someone travelling alone this was not nice). There was also a strange smell in my room. I then went in to find there was no smoke detector in the room, it had been dismounted from the ceiling and not replaced. AND the room was not clean at all, the sheets were stained along with the towels, I did not have a comfortable stay and fortunately I am only staying for one night

The breakfast was cold and not appetizing. I had to have staff add cream cheese to the refrigerator. Non-caffeine coffee was not available.

Initially, only 1/3 roll of toilet paper in bathroom. This was fixed almost immediately.

Beds were dirty

The elevator didn’t work. Had to carry our bags up 3 flights of stairs. Hallway smelled like weed. As soon as we walked into our room I noticed 3 things. It was extremely hot, it smelled so dirty, and the light didn’t work. I was worried the a.c was broke but the air just wasn’t turned on and it took awhile to cool down. The room I chose was non smoking but it was obvious by the smell someone smoked in there, with a mixture of dirty carpet. There was either dirt or a stain on the sheets of the bed I laid on (thankfully no bed bugs, I Looked!) Stains all over the accent chair in the corner. The bathroom toilet wreaked of a strong urine smell. The bolts were coming off the bottom hinge of bathroom door. The toilet paper holder was broke. The sink stopper was broke and stuck closed so the sink didn’t drain.. All of which I took pictures. I have never left a review on a hotel, and I stay frequently at hotels. I checked out hours before check out time just to get out of there and I felt dirty leaving. The hotel appears nice from the outside and it’s a good location in Quincy, IL. It’s worth investing in better house keeping and maintenance.

Short stay

The room was only partially ready when I got there. No toilet paper or towels. This was fixed by staff. Also the elevator was out and we had babies on the 3rd floor.

The hotel smelled awful, like a bad nursing home. The pool was bad and had been cited. The continental breakfast was not edible and was disgusting. There was very little inedible food and it consisted of a cold small pancake. Juice machine was “out of order” and no coffee. If you ate, you had to sit by the front desk. The whole breakfast area was filthy and no available plastic forks. My husband’s nightstand had 4-5 ants crawling on it the next morning. . . . the list could go on and on of negatives. We canceled the remainder of our stay and will never be back.

House keeping

It smelled of smoke throughout the hotel and especially in our room. The room was clean, but the smell of smoke was overwhelming
There was a pile of trash laying outside in front of the trashcan
The bathroom was extremely small

Tub in bath had finish coming off in places. Edges of bath floors not very clean....

Didn’t check in until 4:30. They checked is in and have us keys after getting to our room seen it still hasn’t been cleaned. Returned to front desk to notify them. They didn’t do anything other than say we would have to wait for someone to get to it, so w had to wait in the hallway for 30 minutes for the house keeper to figure out how to clean it.

The hallway didn’t look like it had been vacuumed in awhile. There was also a foil wrapper on the floor in our room, like the safety seal from a medicine bottle. It made me wonder if it had been vacuumed either. The sheets were clean but there were stains on the mattress that you could see through the white sheets. It gave me the ick vibe. We were only there one night to sleep and shower after a 12 hour drive so we overlooked the issues. If it had been a longer stay, I would have complained.
There was only one bath towel in our bathroom. My husband had to use a hand towel when he showered.
