We came to The Terrace Hotel for what turned out to be the most milestone-packed weekend of our lives — our daughter's law school graduation, my birthday, AND our 30th wedding anniversary, all rolled into one incredible trip. I honestly wasn't sure any hotel could rise to that occasion. This one exceeded every expectation.
From the moment we walked through the door, the front desk team made us feel like VIPs. Johnny, Alexa, and Devin were warm, attentive, and genuinely enthusiastic about our celebrations — not in a scripted way, but in a way that felt personal and sincere. They set the tone for the entire stay.
Maddi, Kaya, and Sergio went absolutely above and beyond. Their service was thoughtful, professional, and truly added to the magic of the weekend. It's rare to encounter a team where every single staff member seems to genuinely love what they do — this hotel has that.
The pool was a highlight — perfectly heated, spotlessly clean, and just the right place to unwind after a big day of celebrating. We spent hours there and never wanted to leave.
Thirty years of marriage, a brand-new lawyer in the family, and a birthday to boot — and The Terrace Hotel made every single moment feel special. We will absolutely be back, and we will be recommending this place to everyone we know. Thank you for helping us celebrate the best weekend we've had in years!

We loved, loved, loved that music wasn’t blaring poolside so that you could actually hear the ocean!!

It was an amazing stay at the hotel! Located on a beautiful Pacific beach made it so much easier for everyday relax! The staff was soooo nice ! Every single person was amazing and kind and smiling ! Rooms top and beds and bed sheets oooh that was coooo comfy! Very good parking possibilities ! The view is insane ! LOVE IT !!! 🫶🏻

Beachfront hotel with the most helpful friendly staff you can imagine, spacious lovely well appointed rooms, access to a delicious little café inside the hotel, easy access to beach and poolside— pricey but a truly special stay… price of room varies from day to day… easy stroll to little beach restaurants and bars.

This was an awesome hotel for our family vacation, very laid back neighborhood beautiful beach, and the hotel had several amenities that were not listed, beach chairs,umbrellas, beach toys, and bikes with helmets

We had an amazing experience at Pacific Terrace Hotel. The property is situated right on the beach front in a great location, close walking distance to cafes, bars and restaurants in Pacific Beach and close to La Jolla. The rooms were very clean and spacious. The pool area and terrace was excellent for relaxing and enjoying the sunset. Above all else, the staff were exceptional. They were very professional and friendly, and always willing to help and provide recommendations on things to do. To Mason at the front desk and Maddy in the Terrace Cafe, thank you for your hospitality and warmth, you truly made our visit to San Diego and we will be back!

We just returned from a stay at Pacific Terrace Hotel, and it was one of those experiences that stays with you long after you leave.

From the moment we arrived, the tone was set. We were greeted with genuine warmth and kindness, and the team went above and beyond to get us settled early so we could start enjoying the property right away. Being able to relax by the pool before check-in was such a thoughtful touch.

When we made it to our room, we were welcomed with champagne and a beautifully romantic setup. It immediately felt like we were somewhere special. Throughout our stay, every single interaction with staff reinforced that feeling; everyone was friendly, attentive, and seemed to truly care about our experience.

We also enjoyed the food and drinks, including room service, which were consistently excellent. The oceanfront setting is stunning on its own, but what really makes this hotel stand out is the level of service and attention to detail.

One of our favorite moments came at the very end of our stay. As we were leaving, valet had placed cold bottled waters in our car. It was such a simple gesture, but it perfectly summed up the entire experience; thoughtful, intentional, and genuinely caring.

We’ve stayed at many hotels, and this one truly stands out. We’ll definitely be back.

Our stay at the Pacific Terrace Hotel was nothing short of exceptional. Every staff member we encountered was friendly, warm, accommodating, and genuinely helpful. From the moment we arrived, we felt welcomed and well cared for.

The view from our room was absolutely out of this world. Truly breathtaking and being just steps from the beach made the entire trip feel magical. The hotel grounds were spotless, beautifully maintained, and inviting in every way.

Even though our visit happened to be on the chillier side, the heated pool was such a treat. After long days of exploring San Diego, relaxing in the warm water was exactly what we needed.

Our room was spacious, extremely comfortable, and thoughtfully appointed. The beds were incredibly cozy, and we slept so well each night. Having beach gear readily available was a huge bonus, especially since we were traveling by plane and couldn’t bring those items with us.

This was our son’s first trip to San Diego for his 10th birthday, and Pacific Terrace helped make it unforgettable. We will definitely be returning. In fact, we’re already planning a trip back this fall for my birthday.

Alexa and Lauren greeted us upon arrival. Both ladies were friendly, professional and so helpful! This was our first visit to the Pacific Terrace hotel and it was wonderful! The cleanliness and comfort of the room were incredible, especially the bed with its soft sheets, nice mattress and pillows. We enjoyed using the balcony with the amazing ocean views. Hannah took care of us the next morning at the hotel’s cafe. Her friendliness and that of the other breakfast staff: great! The food was so delicious!
We were very happy to have the secure parking garage available to us as well.
Overall, our stay EXCEEDED our expectations and Alexa, Lauren and Hannah provided EXCEPTIONAL customer service. We hope to visit again very, very soon!

🌴 Fantastic Stay in San Diego!
I recently had the pleasure of staying at this wonderful hotel in San Diego, and it absolutely exceeded my expectations. From the moment you walk in, the atmosphere is simply great—welcoming, relaxing, and setting the perfect tone for a trip to Southern California.
The rooms are impeccably clean and offer absolutely fantastic views of the surrounding area. It is rare to find such high-quality accommodations that also offer such great value for the price. Despite being in a vibrant city, the hotel consistently maintains a quiet and peaceful environment, making it incredibly easy to rest and unwind after a long day of exploring.
The amenities provided are top-notch. Having both a restaurant and a bar right inside the hotel is incredibly convenient. The food and drinks were excellent, and it was the perfect spot to relax in the evening without having to leave the property.
What truly sets this hotel apart, however, is the staff. Every single team member we interacted with was extremely helpful and accommodating. They genuinely went out of their way to ensure my stay was perfect and that we had everything we needed.
If you are looking for a pristine, peaceful, and high-value place to stay in San Diego with exceptional service and great on-site dining, I cannot recommend this hotel enough!

Perfect anniversary stay in Pacific Beach (San Diego) with amazing service and ocean views. This was our first time at the Pacific Terrace Hotel, and we truly couldn’t have been happier. We were there for our 20th wedding anniversary, and from the moment we arrived we felt welcomed. The front desk associate who checked us in was so kind and helpful, and when she learned we were celebrating she congratulated us and surprised us with a lovely cheese and fruit platter.
We were also notified that we’d need to switch rooms on our last night due to scheduled balcony work the following day. While it was a change in plans, the team handled everything thoughtfully and made it as easy and smooth as possible. They also provided $50 per day in breakfast vouchers to offset the inconvenience, which we really appreciated—and breakfast each morning was delicious.
We stayed in a Jr King Suite with a full ocean view, and it was absolutely spectacular—we looked forward to the sunsets every evening. Everyone we interacted with was friendly and accommodating, which made the stay feel effortless. We also loved the complimentary beach cruisers and used them several times to ride along the boardwalk. We would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend the Pacific Terrace Hotel—especially for a special occasion.

The people here are so wonderful. The cafe has the greatest people. Can't say enough nice things about them. They made our trip better.
