The Pool and Hot Tub will be closed for renovations and improvements from Jan 5th to Feb 5th, from Feb 5th to Feb 12th the Hot Tub will not be heated above 95 degrees. After the 12th both Hot Tub and Pool are back to opening hours of 8am to 10pm daily.Guests are required to show a photo ID and credit card upon check-in. Please note that all Special Requests are subject to availability and additional charges may apply.

Amazing view and friendly staff- overall great
Pros:

Hotel staff were extremely helpful and friendly throughout the entire visit. The property is located in a beautiful area with plenty of beach space, restaurants and other attractions in close proximity. The hotel offers beach chairs, towels and umbrellas for convenience which was great. The heated pool and hot tub were well maintained and the poolside service and cafe options were excellent. The view can’t be beat. We would definitely stay here again.

Come for the view, enjoy the friendly staff and beach vibe.
Pros:

You come here for the view, and specifically the proximity to the beach and the PB beachfront, and it doesn't disappoint. It really is cool to sit in a hot tub and watch the world go by. Very close to numerous restaurants. The free beach cruiser bikes are also a plus, as the adjacent beach walk is perfect for cruising. Even though the weather didn't turn out for some of our stay, we had a great time.

Cons:

Adding in $40+ for parking on top of everything else is a bit much. Easy enough to park on the nearby streets in February, but maybe less so during the peak season.

Pros:

This is the perfect hotel. Location on the beach. Beautiful ocean view.bike usage. Info on walking and driving restaurants. We walked! Every single staff person friendly and helpful. Love this place. GO!!

Every staff member is kind and friendly, like they truly enjoy their positions.
Every single one of them, which we have never experienced at any hotel!
Every hotel always has 1 or more staff members who are not very friendly, but never here!

Amazing stay
Pros:

We stayed 4 nights. It was amazing oceanfront view, great location , and the staff was very friendly and attentive. We stayed in a junior suite and it was very roomy, lots of cabinet space, and the bed was very comfortable. Enjoyed the daily cookies. We would definitely stay here again.

100% Love The Pacific Terrace Hotel
Pros:

I love the Pacific Terrace Hotel. They are first class, in every catagory. I was there in the first week of Feb 2026. It was an amazing stay. Perfect ocean view room. Excellent pool, and food. Everyone made my stay extra special. I highly recommend.

Perfection!
Pros:

Wonderful stay at the Pacific Terrace Hotel! Perfect location to view sunsets. We had a first floor room with a patio. It was lovely. Our room was spacious, clean and very quiet. Couldn’t have asked for more. Easy parking in underground garage. Walkable to the pier, lots of restaurants and shopping. Would definitely stay there again.

A lovely stay in a friendly and well located spot.
Pros:

We loved that the hotel is right on the boardwalk. The staff were so friendly and welcoming - a happy vibe! Our room was comfortable. Walking distance to some good eateries. Lovely pool area.

Cons:

The lighting in our room could have been better. Breakfast was good but the dinner choices weren’t great.

A Great First Experience
Pros:

The Pacific Terrace Hotel in San Diego, CA is Amazing! It's located right on the beach, so we could hear the waves at night, watch the surfers and see the beautiful sunsets. It is centrally located so we could walk to so many restaurants and shops. The staff is so friendly and accommodating. The rooms were clean, the beds were comfortable, and the room had all that we needed. The value of the hotel is incredible. The pool was clean and so welcoming. The hot tub was out of service at that time, but that was okay with us. The service at the pool was great.
It was such a wonderful first experience for us to go to San Diego. We are already making plans to go again.

Exceeded our expectations
Pros:

The Pacific Terrace exceeded our expectations! The hotel was very clean and quiet. The staff went out of their way to help us with excursions and restaurant recommendations. We enjoyed the pool and the convenience to the beach (and the ability to use the hotels chairs, umbrella & beach toys). Plus, we enjoyed walking the board walk in the morning and then returning to the hotel for breakfast on the terrace! This place is a hidden gem and I’m so glad we found it!

Wonderful hotel. Wonderful staff! Beautiful views and suites!
Pros:
