Aloft Hotel Calgary University

We had an excellent experience at the Aloft hotel. Our flight was cancelled and the hotel happily refunded us for that night. The breakfast buffet was great for our volleyball team. The games room was fun for the kids and the beds are comfy.

It’s close to places we want to visit, the beds are comfortable, the gym is good, and we like the food especially the full breakfast. The staff is helpfull and friendly.

I had the pleasure of staying at the Aloft Hotel in a king suite from September 2024 to April 2025 and again from September 2025 to April 2026 while I was a full-time university student, when the hotel served as a residence option.
From the very beginning, the staff consistently went above and beyond. The hotel is always spotless, any issues are handled quickly and efficiently, and the front desk team have always been incredibly kind, welcoming, and genuinely friendly—it truly made me feel at home during my (very long) stays!
The hotel also offers fantastic amenities, including a fun game room, a great restaurant and lounge, and a beautifully unique pool area that is bright, relaxing, and complete with beach-style cabanas.
On top of that, the location is ideal. The area is quiet, with plenty of parking, and just steps away from Banff Trail Station for easy access to the CTrain.
Overall, I had a wonderful experience and would highly recommend this hotel!

Staff was friendly and accommodating. The facility was clean, restaurant area great for larger groups and the pool is a great relaxing space. A good hot breakfast in the morning and the games room was so fun for our group.

I stayed at this hotel from January to April as an exchange student. The room was well-maintained and very comfortable. The bathroom was also clean.
The location is another great advantage, with a train station nearby, making it easy to get around Calgary and explore different areas of the city.
What stood out the most was the kindness of the staff. They were always friendly and welcoming.
Thanks to this hotel, I had a very enjoyable and memorable time in Calgary.

Lived in residence for the school term and the room was very nice and the staff was always very friendly, it was a great place to live and would be a very nice place to stay in Calgary. Facilities and amenities were great, and the space was usually quiet.

The rooms are very clean, well-organized, and the layout makes it a high-quality stay experience. The housekeeping staff are very amiable and generous and the maintenance people are extremely helpful if there is an issue in your room. The front desk is also very quick to pick up the phone and answer any questions you have. Also, the pool is such a nice spot to chill and spend time with friends and family.

I am a student and I have been in aloft since august and is definetely the best place I could have ever stayed in. Now my experience is reaching to the end, as I am an exchange student for a year, and I felt it like a home and the people that worked there almost like a family. They are all so kind and nice. Especially Supriya, Dila, Pria, Liya, Sabr Saad, Azeb, Nurma and Nabil. All of them always with a smile and being interested about how is everything going and making sure I didn’t need anything. Dani the community ambassador also did really well letting us know that he was there for us. The way the restaurant and the breakfast worked was so good and efficient. The food also so good. Everything was so clean. The facilties amazing. I wouldn’t change anything.

It was honestly my favorite hotel experience ever. Staying in aloft doesn’t just feel like renting a hotel room for a week, it felt like I was part of a community with how nice everyone was to me. Breakfast was amazing, the housekeeping was phenomenal and efficient. Housekeeper Liya was great and helped us out a lot. Our receptionist, Geyma, did a fantastic job at helping us feel welcomed.

I stayed at Aloft from Jan-Apr 2026 for my exchange semester, and I had a great experience. The room is spacious and the bed is super comfortable. The staff is always happy to help with any inquiries and very welcoming. The hotel’s location is also really good, with the train station to both the university and downtown being nearby.

We were here for a volleyball tournament at U of Calgary. It was super close, the staff and complimentary breakfast were amazing. The team especially enjoyed the pool table, the workout space and the pool. Rooms had everything you would need and expect. This hotel is a no-brainer if we come back next year.
