Pros:

We had a group of 10 for a bachelorette weekend, everything was great. The housekeepers were incredibly nice, friendly and helpful! We would come back just to visit them alone, they truly love their jobs and it shows.

Pros:

Wonderful location in a quieter part of the French Quarter. Staff were super helpful! Brian was great! Beautiful room with high ceilings.

The location was great, very walkable. The staff were all friendly and helpful. The historic character was great.

Cons:

Could use some baseboard cleaning in the bathrooms and maintenance checks on drains and under door cracks to outside to prevent bugs coming in. The property gates and the pool gate were noisy while sleeping.

Convenience vs Noise
Pros:

The hotel location is convenient and walking distance to the French Market, Bourbon St, Louis Armstrong Park, etc. The staff = great!

Cons:

The French Quarter is known for its noise. Our room was located on Dumaine St and you could hear everything: cars, people's conversations, etc. I would stay here again but will request a different room location.

Pros:

The location was good. Not too far from anything and quiet at night. Close to Bourbon Street and too many good restaurants to name. Enjoyable stay.

Cons:

Clutter in the patio area and lots of noise in the morning from the renovations they are doing. The noise is understandable but the clutter of renovations should be hidden from guests site. We had to step around old light fixtures and other bits and pieces to get to our room.

Great Location
Pros:

Lovely historical accommodation. The location was fantastic and staff (think it was Lenny) was very helpful.
Close to convenience store and restaurants, including Bourbon St.
The rooms had clean bedding and tidy bathrooms.

Cons:

One of the beds (my bed) felt a bit worn. I felt like I was sinking in the middle. The other three travellers found their beds comfortable.

Hôtel très vieillissant et surtout très sale. Nous avons retrouvé des cheveux long et brun dans notre lit quasiment tous les soirs (sûrement l’hôte de propreté) la lunettes des toilettes était cassé au point de la retirer pour pas se blesser, la climatisation était plus que sale. Pour ne pas attraper de microbe nous avons préféré la couper. Nous avons vues des rats courir d’un autre bâtiment appartenant à l’hôtel de l’intérieur vers l’extérieur. Et notre lit était remplie de taches. Cette description parle de la troisième chambre que nous avons occupé pendant 4 nuits car nous avons demandé à changer de chambre à notre arrivé. La première avais une très forte odeur d’humidité et de moisissure et la seconde en guise de rideau pour occulter la lumière un simple tissus transparent était cloué à une fenêtre donc aucune occultation. Nous nous sommes résigné à la troisième. Ne pouvant annuler la réservation. En revanche les photos les photos de l’annonce sont très belle car elle représente le hall d’entrée. La seule partie vraiment propre de l’hôtel que nous avons vue.

I had an amazing time here and would love to go back! There was amazing historic charm.

I loved my stay here. It was located in a great location and really appreciated the amenities for the price. Loved the historic aspect of it too!

Cons:

Although this is an affordable hotel, a full length mirror and a mini fridge would have been amenities that would make the experience much better.
