Scandic Hammerfest

Nice hotel with outstanding views. But almost comically overpriced, as the whole building is in need of a refresh.

Veldig hyggelig personale, både i resepsjonen og restauranten. Angående renhold på rommene, kunne det vært bedre opplyst når vi kom at vi selv måtte gi beskjed om vi ville ha nye hånduker og oppredde senger hver dag. Der ble det en misforståelse.

Veldig hyggelig hotell m flott utsikt og god comfort. Frokosten var super og betjeningen var veldig hyggelig. Hotellbaren kunne hatt litt bedre utvalg f.eks liten vits å ha gin i barskapet uten å ha tonic 😀, men trivelig betjening.

I stayed for 2 nights in 2 different rooms.
The door to the rooms is not tight. You hear people in hallways and when doors are being slammed outside, or the cleaners go by.
The windows are not tight and it felt like there was a draft coming in. So the temperature in the room was set to 27 degrees :)
The room looks outdated. In one room the bathroom was so small that shower was only covered with one glass and the toilet was half way in the shower! Disugusting, sorry! For the price I payed for this room it is outrageous to have such a poor room!

Pleasant Stay at Scandic Hammerfest

Scandic Hammerfest offers a comfortable stay with good amenities. The breakfast was good, offering a variety of options to start the day. The staff was friendly, and the location is convenient for exploring the area. While the experience was enjoyable, there is room for improvement in some areas. Overall, it was a pleasant stay.

Helt ok opphold, fantastisk kjøkkenpersonale, så hyggelige. Savner loungeområde som er moderne og oppholde seg i.

Helt greit. Litt forskjellige resepsjons medarbeidere. Mannlige var mest service vennlig. Nedslitte Superior rom

I stayed at the Scandic Hammerfest from 30th December to 4th January because my travel plans kept changing. The Reception Staff were always very helpful, accommodating my constantly changing plans. They also helped me find places to eat over the holiday period when most places are closed in Hammerfest.
I have been travelling to Hammerfest quite regularly over the last 6 months and always choose to stay at the Scandic.

The restaurant was not open on Christmas Day except for breakfast. Hotel staff told us restaurants around town would be open on Christmas Day. This was incorrect. As no restaurants were open and we went hungry on Christmas Day

Room is very spacious and colorful. The best city view is available for all the sea facing rooms. The night view from the hotel lobby is awesome.
The breakfast is typical continental, and taste is good. The offer free wifi in rooms.
Only one problem as room size is big but the room radiator is small in that comparison. Heating of the rooms take long time.

Friendly staff, fantastic brekfast, but a vibrating noise in the wall of room 302 with irregular intervalls, from 5AM and onwards, made it impossible to sleep. I told the staff about it and hope they will find someone who can fix it asap.

Olimme ns. koirahuoneessa. Huoneessa ei ollut juomalaseja, WC-paperia pieni jämä. Olisi ollut kiva lisä jos huoneessa olisi jääkaappi. Lisäksi peitot olivat todella paksut ehkä hyvät talvella, mutta kesäaikaan ne olivat ehdottomasti liian paksut.

We had to wait long (a little more than an hour) before room was available. We checked in around 14:30.

Our family decided to take a last minute weekend getaway before school starts back on the island.

The hotel is perfectly located in the center so we was able to walk to most places. They are also very close to the port so next time we come we won’t drive and will take the ferry in stead.

The room was spacious and we all enjoyed the breakfast.

Vi er ikke fornøyd med oppholdet.
Vi hadde bestilt overnatting i to døgn, men reiste etter en natt.
Årsak: Det var veldig lytt på hotellet. I etasjen under oss var det bryllup med høy musikk, vi fikk ikke sove før etter klokka 02:00 på natten. Også veldig lytt mellom rommene.
Badet var svært lite, nærmest et kott. Det manglet håndklær.
Vi ble krevd for betaling sjøl om vi hadde forhåndsbetalt, måtte vise kvittering.
Senga var god, frokosten var god.

Greit hotell. Varmt rom uten aircondision.( når været var varmt) Små bad uten avtrekk. Skitt i dusjkummen , ellers ok renhold. Vonde puter. Virket som spisesalen var for liten i forhold til antall rom på hotellet, noe som tidvis førte til "stinn brakke" og vanskelig å få plass. Men maten var god. Lett for å tråkke i reinsdyrmøkk på utsiden. India har hellige kuer som går i gatene. Hammerfest har reinsdyr
