Pros:

A very nice hotel with an excellent breakfast. It is a shame about the room temperature, which was very cold and impossible to turn up.

Beautiful art nouveau hotel in the heart of beautiful Alesund
Pros:

The ambience and light airiness of the room. The jugendstil aesthetic was a delight especially in the bar and lounge.

Cons:

The restaurant offer was much reduced for refurbishment albeit on a temporary basis. The buffet breakfast was disappointing- lots of different dishes but the actual quality wasn’t great.

Trendy, high end but a bit soulless
Pros:

Central location. Trendy common areas. Great bathrooms

Cons:

Small bedroom, and in older building part of bed under eaves of roofline. The bar is high end and not open till 17.00. Restaurant not open due to renovations. Perhaps should have informed before.

Pros:

Excellent central location, 5- 10 min walk to everything. Really well-designed and attractive decor; the room was big, with a great bed and bathroom, and the staff was excellent- super helpful and friendly. They even got some laundry done for us at a local place!
