We have just returned from our beautiful break here where we celebrated our anniversary and arrival of our baby which was kindly gifted to us as a special treat.

We were immediately wowed by the beautiful entrance and driveway leading up to the hall which gave us a great first impression. From the moment you set foot on the grounds the staff really can’t do enough for you and treat you with so much respect which really does go a long way.

Everybody is so approachable and knowledgable, from the staff in the Spa to the staff in the restaurant.

We chose to have the 8 course taster menu at EightyEight restaurant which was incredible. We were carefully spoken through our meal and then the sommelier Alistair explained each wine which was genuinely very interesting. Every single dish was amazing.

The attention to detail at Grantley Hall is second to none. You really are made to feel special and we are extremely lucky and grateful to have visited this beautiful place. We had a beautiful deluxe room which again, like the rest of the place blew us away.

We hope one day to come back to this stunning place and will sing its praises to everybody.

Where to start with this place, never have I been to a place with this much quality and luxury. An absolute dream and I really hope one day I can return.

As a travel creator, I’m lucky enough to experience some incredible hotels, and Grantley Hall is still one I regularly recommend.

I stayed back in February, and it completely lived up to the hype. The hotel is absolutely beautiful, the attention to detail is second to none, and the whole experience feels effortlessly luxurious.

The spa was a real highlight, without a doubt one of the best I’ve visited. Whether you’re there for a spa day or a full stay, it’s the perfect place to switch off and unwind.

A huge thank you to Monika and Clara, who made the experience even more memorable. They were so warm, welcoming and genuinely cared about making every guest feel special. Their service really made a lasting impression.

From the beautiful rooms and incredible food to the outstanding spa and exceptional hospitality, Grantley Hall is a luxury escape I’d happily return to and one I’ll continue recommending.

Staying at Grantley Hall is like being the personal guest of the owner in their own private dreamworld. Every detail has been thought of and the team go above and beyond to make each moment exceptional with characteristic Yorkshire charm. Enormous congrats to everyone at Grantley Hall for achieving what so few hotels can and being truly one of a kind.

This was a return stay for us but the first time for my husband’s sister and brother in law. It was a treat to celebrate both their 60th Birthdays.
Before the stay Jordi made sure that everything was set up to have a treat of in room dining in our suite to celebrate.
As many reviews mention,it is the people that look after you at Grantley that make it such a special place.
The suite’s are stunning and comfortable. The food is beautiful.
The grounds have so many different parts that make it so unique to amble around.
Yes it is an expensive treat but if you are wondering if it is worth it…the answer is yes…treat yourself. The memories you make will be worth every penny.
Can’t wait to return in August for our Anniversary!

I am not one for leaving reviews but I stepped into heaven yesterday attending the wine and dine experience package here. The staff were so kind it deserves a review. I love the luxury feeling as soon as you walk into greatly. The food was great and the wine somm was very nice and knew his stuff and gave us an education on the wine which was really wonderful to experience. The food in eighty eight was amazing so tasty and I love how well the staff took care of us.The spa was just heaven and we brought our own champagne in and paid a corkage fee of £70 per 75cl. The lady that works in the spa was a real pleasure to speak with we had a great chat in the changing rooms and I hope she works her way up the ladder and that the owners of Grantley see the potential I seen in this young girl. I think the value was excellent for a meal and spa 3 hours access £135 you can’t go wrong!! Thank you Grantley Hall I’ll be back to celebrate my birthday in September and to try your £250 wine I heard was fabulous by the cutest sommelier serving us!! He looked like a film star I still can’t think of his name!! Anyway 10/10 :) xxxx

We knew Grantley Hall would be fantastic but it actually exceeded our expectations. The place is gorgeous, the staff so lovely and welcoming and the afternoon tea was amazing. We went walking round the immaculate grounds afterwards and stopped for a chat with a lovely lady and her dog. After chatting for ten minutes she did declare she was Valeria the owner of Grantley, what a genuine, kind wonderful lady. No airs and graces just a lady very proud of her achievements and rightly so. We will definitely return and highly recommend to everyone. Thank you Grantley to each and everyone of you that makes it such a special place.

Wow wow wow, we stayed for 4 days over my birthday, and from the moment you enter the gate and meet Issac you feel at home, your car is parked for you then you meet with a customer relations team who ask if they can anything for you, we had room 6 amazing a suite complimentary snacks and soft drinks , jackets in room for exploring the wonderful grounds, fletchers restaurant is fantastic food and staff are great, shop on site sells GH merchandise, spa is outstanding , we visited fountain abbey which we were given complimentary tickets at reception and it was amazing, the orchard plays music on Sunday it was first class, Valeria cocktail bar was good , service was not as excellent as everywhere else , we visited, ripon race course which was fun , and hawes which was so quaint and a shop called funky pheasant omg amazing overall we have booked another visit in October and going for Xmas

We were lucky enough to stay in Room 1 on the 9th July for my husband's birthday. From the moment we arrived to the moment we left it was the best nights stay in a hotel we have ever had. Every single member of staff could not have been more efficient, courteous or friendly. We knew our stay at Grantley would be special but it was more special than we expected. The hall itself is beautiful, our room was simply the best where everything you needed had been thought of. The gardens are well worth a stroll around, they are immaculate.
We had a lazy lunch on the terrace and an outstanding evening meal at EightyEight. The cooking skills of the chefs are second to none and they cater wonderfully for those of us who are coeliac. Thank you also for the wonderful birthday chocolate treat (we won't explain as it will spoil the surprise for others), it was a triumph. All of this before you even get to the amazing Spa area with its snow room.
Don't forget your bathers!
The only downside of our visit was we only had one night and had to leave the next day for our long drive home. We cannot wait to return. You really must treat yourselves to a stay here, you will not regret it. Thank you everyone.

Stayed here several times before and the service was excellent but arrived today and had to ask three times for a pot of tea with biscuits before eventually after half an hour the tea arrived but no biscuits . The service has really gone down hill !

Dinner in Fletchers was the perfect way to celebrate an anniversary. The menu had so many tempting choices and we love the idea of locally sourced ingredients.Luke helped with wine choice and was respectful of budget and preferences.
The service at Grantley is exceptional. The entire staff combine total professionalism and skill with a down to earth Yorkshire friendliness.

Just returned from an overnight stay at the wonderful Grantley Hall. We wanted a luxury spa experience and stay, this place did not disappoint. Great and personal service from start to finish. The spa is exception and par with some of the best in the UK, if not world. Every member of staff looked after us, above and beyond. We had a couple of slight issues during our stay which were resolved perfectly by the team. Highly recommended.

Afternoon tea at Grantley Hall is a wonderful experience. The whole visit from the welcoming at the gate to the drive up to the Hall and the the food service and quality of everything is outstanding in every way. Staff are smart friendly and very professional. The food is so carefully prepared and presented and tastes amazing. It may be a high price but you will not regret it.

An amazing stay at Grantley from arriving at the hotel and being greeted everything was perfect. The idyllic grounds, the warm welcome at the entrance - the check in where we were seated and given a drink. The spa is super chic. Once we got to our room it was everything you could want - every detail catered for (the only hotel in the world I have stayed in where the complimentary slippers fit) big tick for that. Great food -great sleep. One of the best.

Visited for my wife’s 60th birthday and it didn’t disappoint.
From start to finish we received a very exceptional Yorkshire welcome and service. From the Norton Bar, where we met Ben and Lilly, to the Fletchers restaurant where every member of staff were attentive and very friendly - too many to name individually.
The food was again exceptional, with the surf and turf fillet steak topping everything.
Can’t wait to return, to our new favourite place.

What an experience! We booked the Afternoon Tea and Spa package whilst 2 friends booked the Twilight Spa package.

Booking was easy with immediate confirmation. Unfortunately I was then called for surgery so had to postpone the booking. No problem and received a lovely message from the team wishing me well. Events changed and my op was cancelled on the day. I rang the hotel reception who arranged for my booking to be reinstated. Phew!

We arrived early for the tea so that we could walk around the grounds. Reception gave us a map of the grounds. I loved the Japanese garden.

We then headed to the outside terrace and had a drink at the side of the river.

For the Afternoon Tea every item was explained. My vegetarian option had been carefully created for me. Every single mouthful was an experience! The setting in the Drawing Room was beautiful. The items that we didn’t have room for were carefully packaged for us to take home.

The staff in the hotel were all exceptionally friendly and helpful. The one member of staff who stood out and made our experience even more memorable was called Daisy. She is definitely a credit to the hotel.

We then headed to the Spa area. The reception team in the Spa gave us a lovely greeting. They explained where everything was and how to use the lockers. Again… what an experience! Hot tub, Nordic Spa Garden, pool, steam and sauna rooms and a snow room (remember to keep your flip flops on)! Everything was spotlessly clean. Water and fruit was readily available. The towels and robes were super soft.

Our whole experience at Grantley is one that we’ll remember for a long time. Definitely to be repeated soon. It is an expensive treat but it is a very special place with the most amazing staff.

My husband and I had watched the amazing Channel 5 documentary about Grantley Hall and loved it so much, I decided to save up and take him to afternoon tea for his birthday as a suprise.Our amazing experience started the night before when I received a courtesy call from Alison who was to serve our afternoon tea the following day...a lovely gesture.
On arrival on the day, were greeted so warmly at the gates by the staff..we drive a 14 year old purple Panda and was worried it would look ridiculous being valet parked next to a Bentley but we needn't have worried,there was a car park we could park ourselves round the corner.
It was nice to see all the amazing posh cars parked at the front as we walked in though!
We were greeted warmly by the staff in reception and then Alison appeared and took us into the drawing room.What can I say?it was breath taking!!The attention to detail was just magnificent. There was a talented pianist playing piano whilst we were sat just adding to the lovely atmosphere.
Alison talked us through the afternoon tea menu ..she was so knowledgeable about the food,the ingredients and how everything was prepared.How she remembered all the fine details I do not know but it was amazing to find out how all the dishes were put together.
The food was a work of art...it was almost a shame to eat it...I could have stared at it for hours !!!
We didn't of course and it was the best experience ever backed up by unlimited teas/coffees which were sublime.
My husband was presented with a birthday card and a birthday plate at the end which was unexpected but a lovely gesture..it just topped everything off.
We were encouraged to have a look around afterwards and explore the grounds which we did and it was heavenly.The work that goes into keeping it so beautiful is astonishing.I never thought I would ever have the chance to see Grantley Hall in all it's splendour and it was really emotional to actually see it for real after seeing it on the TV.
I would like to thank every single staff member we met that day and give Alison and the afternoon tea staff a special mention because they really do go above and beyond.
We will never forget this day...it was beyond outstanding!!

Stunning building, function room and grounds. Terrible weather on the day visited, but staff very attentive with umbrellas at the ready. Wedding menu choices especially the vegetarian option well presented and good quality.
