It was a budget room but it was tiny - not enough space for an open suitcase on the floor. It was right below the restaurant so quite noisy.

Disappointing , expensive and underwhelming.

I have to say it was a disappointing visit.
When we arrived it was very busy and seemed a little disorganised. We were a party of four and booked dinner in advance . We were informed at dinner in a rather abrupt fashion that they had run out of roast potatoes - also Yorkshire puddings.
On a Sunday!
One of our party , a pescatarian was told equally abruptly that they had also run out of fish . He ordered a vegetarian roast which they then forgot to bring . It somewhat spoiled what was supposed to be a special occasion . In fairness the manageress was very apologetic the next morning and made a concession on our bill . Regarding the actual stay in the hotel my general comments would be that the rooms are overpriced. They are small , the WiFi is sporadic at best and there were no special touches , like biscuits in the room for example . I think to charge the premium prices on food and accommodation The Black Horse needs to seriously up its game .

This would be a good stay for a couple who wanted a romantic weekend with good dining.
Pros:

The welcome was good with a very friendly, helpful member of staff. The pub and property was attractive, clean and comfortable.

Cons:

The room was a little cramped.

Pleasant and what we needed for our visit
Pros:

Breakfast was very good quality if a tad expensive

Cons:

We had booked a twin room but we're given a double this was rectified but they said they had no record of a twin being booked after I had spoken directly to them prior to arrival to confirm this

Lovely stay
Pros:

Lovely pub the bedroom was really nice and comfortable a quaint little pub. The only down side was the bathroom was slightly smelly and a bit damp,
The staff were friendly and welcoming to patrons. Although sadly we noticed between a few staff members the conversations were very abrupt which felt awkward
Food was excellent and location was great. We would stay here again
This is advertised on hotels.com as Arundel, however it’s not this is a village outside

Wonderful - especially the staff
Pros:

Couldn’t fault it - was a lovely surprise that this was our overnight stay after a long journey from Norfolk

Cons:

Not enough electric sockets in the room and a usb port would be handy. Weird arrangement with the kettle

A beautiful look pub in a great location that seems poorly run
Pros:

Really poor that breakfast does not start until 09:00. We were heading off early and there wasn't even option for a coffee.

Cons:

The food was overpriced, so we went to the pub up the road for dinner

Ute, aber zu teure Unterkunft
Pros:

Wir hatten ein vernünftiges Doppelzimmer in einer Unterkunft, wo man ebenfalls gut essen konnte

Cons:

Das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis passte überhaupt nicht. Es hat ungefähr das doppelte oder dreifache zu den vorherigen Unterkünften gekostet.

Nice friendly hotel. Good food. The outside area is nice and welcoming.

Cons:

We had a converted garage with 2 rooms, which was cramped and didn't have any ventilation so it was very hot and hard to breathe. We had fans but needed fresh air.
