Amazing central location, dog friendly, nice staff
No parking. We had hoped to make use of the 20% off code, but were told when leaving it’s only for prebooked parking, which was annoying. The parking for one overnight stay was nearly £50 - so, you could reasonably book a more expensive room with parking further out of York.

Not enough storage space. A few extra hooks would help but manageable for a short stay.
The location was perfect and very central. Check-in wasn’t until 3pm, but our room was ready by 1pm, which was a great bonus. We also loved the complimentary welcome drink, a delicious gin punch, which was a lovely touch. The reception and bar area had a nice, relaxing atmosphere. The room itself was modern, spacious, and had a very comfortable bed, along with a kettle and tea and coffee facilities.
There was a noticeable smell of drains coming from the bathroom, which seemed to be coming from the shower. It wasn’t overpowering, but it wasn’t a very pleasant smell.

Lovely vibe, modern and comfortable
Only one coffee machine at breakfast so queues galore-good coffee though! Bit further out than expected from train station, also bit miffed that I booked two rooms - one for me one for my friend, exactly the same size and hers ended up being £22 cheaper and included breakfast which mine didn’t!

The hotel is very modern, and it was exceptionally clean throughout. The bedding and towels were of really good quality. The location is brilliant, just a short walk to the Shambles. We did not eat at the hotel, so I can not comment. I would recommend this hotel and would stay again.
There were basic amenities in the room, no wardrobe , no iron, but it was enough for a short stay. The bathroom was compact, again enough for a short stay, but it was exceptionally clean. The bed was huge but for me it was very soft, however this may suit other guests.
