We had a great time. The hotel owner are friendly and treated us like family. We will come back again.

A great value stay in a very convenient location. Lovely staff. Room ok as we arrived in the evening for dinner and left in the morning. Room is as expected for the price

The closest possible building next to the Ancient City of Troy archeological site and museum (literally next building). Very welcoming and supportive. Especially enjoyed all the travel tips, delicious dinner and breakfast and warm hospitality.

Run down and poor facilities

Amenities, like furniture and shower cnditon, not in the best of shape.But the staff is great, and if you're visiting ancient Troy the location is simply perfect.

Havlu ve çarşaflar eskiydi, kaldığımız oda çok küçüktü,Truvaya yakın olduğu için konumu bizim için güzeldi, sakin ve sessizdi. Özellikle Yasemin hanım'a teşekkür ederiz, çok ilgiliydi. İşletme sahipleri de ilgili ve naziklerdi. Güven veren bir ortamdı.

There were no electric sockets in the room so we couldn’t charge our phones. Also there was no TV, no shower cabin, shower leaked and windows looked out an interior hall so we didn’t have fresh air. However, it was clean and the breakfast was nice. I’d say it’s a 2-star hotel with the rate of a 4-star hotel.

Stayed 2 nights in July 2024. Purpose of the trip was to visit Troy, and Hisarlik Hotel is perfect for that. It's just a short walk from both the ancient site of Troy and (in the opposite direction) the Troy Museum. The owner and his brother were both always eager to answer any questions that we had, and the breakfast that was included was a great start to the day. AC in the room worked well, which was important in July. Also, Canakkale is a short drive away, and has a lot of great restaurants.

Biz ailecek çok beğendik. Bekletilerinizi yüksek tutmayın. Ama kalınır, temiz, güler yüzlü, ilgili personelleri var. Resturant kısmı güzeldi. Rakımızı içtik. Kafamızı dinledik. Geri döndük. Bu bayram bizim için güzel bir anı oldu.

Friendly, welcoming and homely, a great bm place for proximity to Troy archaeological site and the fantastic museum. The owner is helpful and knowledble and though the menu is limited, the food is hearty and generous. A great gift shop too.

The staff at the hotel were amazing. It was early in the season (March 2024) and I was the only guest in the hotel. The owner made sure somebody was waiting for me at the hotel to check in (I was delayed and arrived past 7pm), asked if I wanted dinner and then asked the kitchen chef to return to the hotel (from her home!) to cook dinner, and then made sure the kitchen was open in the morning for breakfast. Amazing dedication!

I stayed in a triple room. It was fine, hot water, and good internet. The staff was super nice, cordial and diligent.
Is right in front of the museum.
Breakfast was the best we ate in Turkey.

Easy walk to Troy. Helpful staff.Clean room. Good breakfast.

The room is very small for its price , no closet or space to put belongings. Water is typically given in the room everywhere else I have been in Türkiye, except for here and the price for water is 4x the price at a market around the corner.

Very basic. Requested double bed, but was given a single. Hardest bed I've ever slept on and I woke up with a sore back.
Very limited dining options. Was charged a higher rate than my booking, and also charged extra for my drink with breakfast (which was included in the booking).
Elderly gentlemen there was very friendly, and will show you the guide book written by his brother. Very close to Troy archaeological site. Only a few hundred metres.

Conveniently located between the archeological site and the museum, I spent 2 nights there. The hotel is very clean and the staff is friendly. I have travelled a lot, and read the comments about this hotel. Honestly, I do not understand the bad comments. The prices although a little higher than other places in Turkey, reflect the location. Do you think a hotel in Mont St Michel in France, in Times Square, New York or in front of the forbidden city in Beijing will be bargain prices? Think again. Of course, in my opinion, your attitude will make a big difference.

The least expected and by far most memorable were the family that ran the place. Kind, welcoming, attentive, made a soaringly good meal for me alone. No one else was there.on top of that, as friends of the famous archaeologists that have worked Troy, the son wrote several historical books and signed the one on Troy. Better by far for its scholarship, structure, and content, these books are actually the best surveys I have seen of a site.
So serendipity of warmth and grace are the reasons to be pleasantly surprised by this place closest to the site and across the street from the museum.

Wonderful little place. Owner was nice and very knowledgeable about Troy. The hotel is very close to the site and is very walkable.
