First time in Cervinia and booked this hotel through Crystal ski. First impression was our room was small, but had 3 beds in, we had just booked a twin room, so we stood one of the single beds up against the wall to give us more room. We paid extra for a Mountain View, but as we arrived late at night, we couldn't see much in the distance. Woke up in the morning, pulled the blinds back, and there was the Matterhorn right in front of us. Stunning. Breakfast was good, all hot and cold, buffet style. Boot and ski room was a bit cramped, but ok, gondola just across the road, so great for carrying skis etc. The hotel bar is a great bar to have drinks, plenty of places to sit, and has a pool table. For dinner, it's buffet style for starters and dessert, and for main meal it's a bit like school dinners, and may a I add with school dinner size portions. All the staff at the hotel were very friendly and helpful, except for the restaurant manageress who served the food, who we found very rude and miserable.
So good points of the hotel are, great position, lovely staff (except for one person) food was ok and a good bar.
Downsides are boot room, a bit run down and small and dinner is served between 7 and 8.15 pm if I remember. Make sure you don't leave it too late as they run out of food, and once it's gone, it's gone. Would I return, yes I would due to the position of the hotel and Cervinia / Zermatt is fantastic for skiing.
Best thing about the hotel is the great location, only about 30m from the main gondola and bubble lifts to the main skiing area at Plan Maison. The hotel itself is comfortable, and the food is decent.
First night ok . Downhill from there food regulated by a woman that never smiles and offers child size portions can’t leave restaurant with your glass of wine when you are only allowed an hour 15 for dinner if you tug up 20 min late there is nothing left people take desserts before any other food comes out to make sure you get one bar staff very good shame about the the smell of sewage everywhere ski hire is very dated
It reminds me of carry on aboard
Other than that great location should be offered as b & b at half the price
The hotel is just across the gondola with is very convenient. The staff were very helpful with everything. The hotel is very nice and comfy.
Very close to the ski lifts and the service was great, especially the lady at the reception with her dog.
There’s no parking and because we got there mid morning all the car parks were full. Luckily the lady at the reception managed to allow us to park on some private land as we ran out of options.
Food 💩 . If your not there for bang on 7pm they actually run out a d food is replenished thats it you've missed it lol the restaurant manager dishes out the main food in such tight @rse portions its embarrassing! Lamb chops handing out 1 only! I ask for a second inc more chips...but thats it no veg no gravy lol! The bar doesnt open until 3:30pm so when the pistes closed at 12pm there's nothing to do in the hotel.....tbh its a low average hotel but was still the same price bracket as our previous and far superior hotels and food ski hols in Swiss, Austria and France ....we won't be becoming back....
perfect locatiom, nice staff
This is our second time staying at this hotel.
The hotel is well situated for the main gondola and a 10 minute walk into the town, just be aware it is up hill on the way back.
The buffet breakfast and dinner was good for a three star hotel, my only reservation was that if you didn’t arrive at 7:30 you had less choice of the starter buffet and salad, the good dessert also go quickly especially the panna cotta
The staff are all very friendly and do an excellent job in the restaurant, bar and reception.
We stayed in the suite, the view was amazing, I read an earlier review about the noise so took ear plugs with me and I this dulled the noise from the lift and the house keeping on change over day who are incredibly loud.
The hotel collect your bags from the bus drop off but you have to walk up to the hotel which is up hill 10-15 minute walk.
I can’t comment on ski hire this year as we hired from the town instead this year.
Stayed for a week while Skiing. Location is excellent for one of the main ski lifts. Very clean hotel. Rooms are adequate. Stayed in 303 however it has extraction fans above so avoid as the noise vibrates into the room.
Stayed HB and meals were good. Wine was included in the price with evening meals however it was awful even with lemonade in. Soft drinks are also included with the evening meals. Impressed that sparkling water was also included with evening meals however.
My main complaint about this hotel is the lack of soundproofing. Sliding furniture mornings and evening and all the way through the night. Obviously echoing through the hotel. Also beeping sounds from bedroom doors could be heard when people opened/closed doors again echoing around corridors.
This is a noisy hotel and would not return.
Very close to lift . Really close actually
No parking . Breakfast it’s ok and very busy in the morning with coffee ordinary. Rooms are nosy and you can ear other drunk guests . Occasional smell of sewage . Dinner below average for what you pay.
It's a decent enough hotel in a great location and the skiing is good in Cernvinia. The staff are friendly and helpful and the restaurant provides decent half-board. The rooms a re small but functional. Hot tip, if you are offered the 'Suite' as an upgrade say no. The room is right at the top of the hotel and is a coverted attic store room. It's cold and the lift is right by the bed and dings loudly every time it is used. There are also a couple of steps that could be dangerous in the dark. You are far better off, warmer and safer in the other rooms.
