Pros:

Colazione buona con bella vista, posizione ottima per chi vuole stare fuori dal traffico della costiera ma godere delle sue bellezze. Staff super disponibile, Umberto è stato molto gentile e si è messo a disposizione per tutte le nostre esigenze.

We were in contact with Umberto, the property representative, from the moment we landed and informed him in advance that we would be arriving late. During our drive to the property, he mentioned that we needed to pass through arches to reach it — but only at that point did he tell us that only small cars can pass through. When we arrived, we realized our car could not fit, and it even got scratched while attempting to pass.

We tried to find parking outside the area, but there was no available parking at all, and even if there had been, there was no possible way to carry our luggage up, as the property is accessible only via a steep staircase. It is important to note that the listing advertises parking availability, which is misleading.

Furthermore, Umberto was extremely unpleasant, offered no assistance, hung up the phone, and became completely unreachable afterward. Even worse, he deleted our WhatsApp messages and stopped responding entirely. We had no choice but to leave and look for an alternative place to stay — at 11:00 PM, after a long and exhausting travel day.

Despite all this, Umberto charged us the full amount for two nights, offered no refund or compensation, even though we never entered the room or stayed at the property.

It has taken me a while to get back to respond SORRY !!! My husband & I were taken back at the beauty of the view, the cleanliness of everything, it was crisp, flawless. It was an answer to prayer that we found this place after sitting by the roadside on our first day in Italy, first day driving in on the other side of the road to Australia & we were majorly stressed. We looked on the map in booking.com & located SAN GiACOMO RELAIS thought it looked in a good position but after the experience we had just had we didn’t know what to expect. We were SO THANKFUL & all we kept saying to each other is ‘thankyou ‘other place’ for being so bad’ We are going to Italy again soon & hopefully SAN GIACOMO might be available if we are game enough to navigate driving & we would return there every visit just to experience it again. A SPA BATH, a view to die for, church bells, privacy, WONDERFUL HOST who should be really proud of himself, the food was DELiSH 🤩…

We had booked a place just out of Naples months back & arrived there to leave within minutes of arriving it was a nightmare, it was rundown on the outside, smell like dog urine along the front walls & you could also see that dogs had been along the wall. So we TOTALLY recommend SAN GIACOMO RELAIS it’s the view of dreams & such a refreshing space.

Cons:

Only thing I would like is access to a coffee machine even down when the office is open as I love my coffee however at the office we were able to purchase wine and soft drink and bottled water and we only stayed a night so that was fine.

Unica pecca che a 100m dall hotel la strada è stretta e la nostra macchina non passava per arrivare alla struttura e quindi al parcheggio,ma comunque vicino ce ne sono altri a pagamento

A truly authentic experience with incredible views, very clean as well.
Pros:

The views are incredible, the room made us feel like we were staying in an authentic Italian home. The terrace allows for a truly relaxing and tranquil experience. Exceeded my expectations - felt like the value was great.

Cons:

Lots of steps which is to be expected in Amalfi, but in my opinion the views here are more than worth it!
