We stayed for 2 days in May. They changed me for one day in April and 2 days in May. Had to make multiple calls to get the refund.
Only one elevator was working and people had to wait for 10-20 minutes.
Nothing
It looked abandoned when we pulled up and worse inside. No air conditioning. Dirty sheets. No light in bathroom. Dirty all around. Mold on air vents. Could out it had been closed on May 19th for health violations but was open last night.

The breakfast choices were fantastic. Juice / coffee / tea / eggs / biscuits & gravy / fruit / pastries. Everything you could want for breakfast was provided.
There is NO WAY this is a Wyndham hotel. It meets zero standards. If a hotel is under construction, it shouldn't be listed as available. There was NO pool / no hotel bar / no hotel food available. The room was huge, but absolutely disgusting! Our sheets had hair and nasty wet stains ... GROSS! We drove 9 hours and were welcomed with this ??!! :-( We asked for another room and at least the bed was clean. But the ice bag was moldy and gross, the bathroom was falling apart. It took 2 of us to turn on the water in the shower (whomever installed left huge screws in the way of the nozzle). The drain plugs did not fit in the drain holes. The towel hook was just the back screwed into the wall. The pipes and water lines were showing. This was a night mare, but what are you going to do after driving 9 hours. YUKK.
Perhaps this will be a nice place when construction is complete. We will not be back.
Parking is convenient
No wifi, very poor elevator and only one is available, not enough food during breakfast
The only good thing going for this hotel is the proximity to the freeway.
Cockroach infested. We stayed for two nights and saw more than a dozen German cockroach nymphs and adults. That's reason enough not to stay. Other good reasons are that the unsecured WiFi is not connected to the internet and cell service inside is not good. The air conditioning doesn't work. The building looks abandoned - the Wyndham branding has been removed from the outside of the hotel, there is no signage. The view from our room was the interior of the lobby including a drained fountain. The hotel attempted to cancel my reservation and made me pay in advance in order to attempt booking a higher paying last minute customer for graduation weekend, even then, the hotel was not at all near capacity for a busy weekend. The renovation work looks like a child did it, the tiling is unfinished and the vanity was not attached correctly to the wall. My husband went to hang something in the closet and the safe nearly fell on him, it wasn't attached to the wall. They ran out of food for breakfast and piles of trash accumulated. There is no pride in ownership of this hotel, they need to close it - a real poor reflection of the brand and Champaign, I would be embarrassed to work here.
Staff was really nice. Front desk was quick during checkin and checkout
air conditioning was not working but was offered an additional room for the night so we did not have to pack up.
Room was remodeled but not done very well.
The breakfast was good.
Only 1 elevator was operating. That elevator was barely functional. I was traveling with elderly parents and stairs weren't an option. The first room I had didn't have a TV.
The rooms are old, there is no fitness facility, even though they claim there is one, and the pool was not available for health reasons.
Nothing
Everything was broken.
Nothing.
The were many holes in the wall in the common areas and in our room. There was patching done on some walls but it was a poor job. Wall paper was pealing off the walls in our room. No hand soap in our room. No washcloths among the linens. Drain partially plugged in bathroom sink. Carpet was filthy. If you walked barefoot on the carpet and got in the shower, dirt literally rinsed off your feet, disgusting. Missing the sitting chair in the room. Thermostat did nothing (so no heat). No body wash or shampoo in the shower. One elevator was broken down and appears to have been that way for weeks. The common area was loud. A bunch of college or high school kids were hanging out in the common area until after midnight. Muzac on the sound system 24/7 and could hear it in your room. Overall the place smelled dank and musty. We would have left immediately but it was 8:30 and we were exhausted from being on the road all day so we toughed it out. I have traveled extensively for work and pleasure across the USA and I can say that in thirty years of travel this is the worst place I have ever stayed. It appears that at one time it must have been a beautiful hotel but it has fallen into disrepair and mismanagement. It is so far gone I would recommend bulldozing it.
Absolutely nothing
Absolutely everything. No AC, roaches, water damage all over in bathroom, mold & mildew. Smell was terrible. Staff horrendous. No manager to deal with anything!!
No AC working in the room, elevators broken, no staff came to clean the room out of the 3 days we stayed.
Location was close to the fairgrounds.
We stayed here 2 yrs ago and the motel was clean and beautiful, so that’s why we booked here again. This time it was dirty, no toilet paper holder in the bathroom, no cups in the room, pool was emptied/ inoperable, only one of the 2 elevators was operational and was SLOW. Disappointed a motel could go downhill like that in 2 years.
This place is awful! I stayed here off and on while I was doing some business. The first room they put me in had mold and Isaw roaches crawling in the bathroom. The Jacuzzi tub did not work. It was disgusting where the Jets were when I asked for maid service to the sheets. The maid just made the bed without changing the sheets. The reason I knew this was because my coffee spilled on the bed and that’s why I wanted new sheets. For a week I had no maid service. I had to go downstairs and ask for towels and I brought my garbage down and had to take up another couple garbage bags. The elevator worked off and on there was one time I was stuck in it for 10 minutes one morning the maid was running after a man trying to hit him. The pool never worked usually the breakfast was dry and did not look appetizing. I had to put a towel against the bottom of the door, connecting to a different room because the people staying next to me must’ve been smoking something really bad. The smell was awful. When I asked for corporate‘s number, they refused to give it to me. They told me they were no longer with Wyndham. The fire department said could stay there because they weren’t up to code and I had to leave for a couple of nights until it was fixed. The people at the desk this past week or two were awful. They were rude and refused to help me. I will definitely not be giving my business to them ever again. I had paid up until the end of the month, but they told me that it wasn’t enough and I couldn’t use my points. Because they were no longer with Wyndham I bought roach traps to put in my room. They finally let me move to a different room and that bathtub didn’t work. I remember this place 20 years ago was beautiful and had greatservice. My brother had his reception there and it was wonderful, but it is definitely not a place that I would ask anyone to stay at now. I was told the maid would come in to clean my room and then they would say that I had the do not disturb sign on my door and I didn’t have that I didn’t even have a do not disturb sign!
The bed was comfortable.
No one came to clean the room or give towels or toiletries. They said they were out. I had to go to the front desk to ask for a roll of toilet paper. The elevator has been out since last year when I stayed there before. The pool was still out of service since last year as well. There does seem to be new staff members since I was there last year, but the accommodations were still the same. It’s a shame because that hotel looks like it could have some great possibilities.
Nothing. Unfortunately we booked it a year ago for Mom’s weekend and it has really deteriorated.
Smelled bad, WiFi never worked, no chair, lamp or sofa, no minifrig, cups, or coffee maker as promised. Never saw any cleaning staff. Hotel looks like it’s ready for demolition.
I booked this hotel specifically for the pool. Only to find out when we arrived the pool had been closed for months, but the hotel is still advertised as having a pool. I had 3 very upset little girls and we were there for two nights. The hotel’s cleanliness was very disappointing and the elevator definitely had issues. It was disappointing that if we wanted to use the stairs we had to go outside and then the door is broke so anyone could come into the hotel at anytime key card or not. The price was way too high for this facility. A very disappointing stay.
