So disappointing and have been mislead about restaurant. Swimming pool and entertainment

Lovely view of the sea

So very disappointed I had my 80 year old mother with me and my Sister celebrating her Birthday xx we were excited to use the swimming pool which was closed and have dinner in the hotel which was also closed and having some evening entertainment which didn’t happen the hotel is in the process of being refurbished but we were not told of this so we were very disappointed … Only 4 other guest in the hotel which felt very strange. The new management told us there would be a coach load arriving the next day and the restaurant would be open so I can’t understand why the restaurant wasn’t open my Mum has problems with her walking so it was annoying we had to go and and find somewhere to eat so very disappointing the hotel will be lovely once the builders have finished

Was ok. Not the best I've stayed in.
Pros:

Was good, staff friendly.

Cons:

The room had a view of a roof and a fire escape. Not very pleasant. Given hotel was practically empty, I'm sure, for the money I paid, they could've found a much better room

I would avoid it
Pros:

Walking distance to the beach.

Cons:

I was staying in room 117 last week and have been badly bitten by bed bugs. Really ruined my stay at this hotel as I wasn’t expecting the hygiene standards to be so poor. Beware.

Sensibly priced room offered what we required.
Pros:

Friendly staff, room was adequate for what we required, happy hour in the bar offered good prices for drinks.

Cons:

Hotel felt a little dated in need of renovation, breakfast was rather basic and the coffee was not to our liking.

Pros:

Views were great and location. good rooms size.

Cons:

No visible staff , only if you telephone. I know it was off season but if your going to close everything (pool,dining room bar) then don't bother opening completely shut and do renovations that are needed. Everything just looks dated.

staff made me feel very welcome, cooked b’fast a bonus as was expecting continental only.
Pros:

I booked a single room but was given a double which was a nice suprise

Cons:

There were no working radiators so the whole place was cold. There was an electric heater in my room which warmed it up ok

Pros:

We were upset as room temperature was below than a human can survive and hotel central heating was not functioning .Hotel manager empathised the situation and told their maintenance people.can only come next morning.We couldn't sleep in the room with the alternative room heater provided so we requested for a I.. ediate checkout the very next day morning .Still awaiting for a full refund .

Cons:

Quick resolution and refund as agreed with property manager as we couldn't continue in the hotel .Resolution taking more time even though they agreed to do full refund .Booking.com is telling awaiting for property side.
