Poor communication
Cons:

Not until arrival were we told that all the amenities were closed . We had a young child with us who was looking forward to swimming only to find the pool was shut. The hotel was shabby inside and out . The whole hotel needs to be closed and refurbished then it will 4 star .

Nice views, but could do with an update
Pros:

Great location with really nice sea views, especially in the morning. The hotel is in a good spot for getting down to Shanklin beach and nearby restaurants. Staff were friendly and helpful throughout the stay. Room was decent for a short stay and the overall vibe was relaxed and quiet, which was nice.

Cons:

The hotel is a bit dated in places and could do with some modernisation. Cleanliness could have been slightly better in certain areas, and some parts of the room felt worn. Parking can be a bit tight depending on when you arrive. For the price, I expected it to be a little more polished.

I wouldn't recommend this hotel to anyone and never come back my self again,waist of money.
Pros:

Location is perfect and rooms are spacious especially if you have room with a balcony and sea sea view.

Cons:

Very old hotel,not clean at all.Hair is on bedding also on a chair next to a coffe table.Windows not clean.Furniture is very old and need a refurbishment, beds are so uncomfortable not good sleep ,very tired.Never seen that cheap beds in a hotels before and sleep its so important on your holidays. Very poor hotel insulation,you can hear everything, have a very noisy neighbours and because is not service phone in a room how can you report to the reception 🙂
Balcony it's very large but not any single chair to sit down and enjoy the view of sea.
Didn't go for breakfast or dinner so can't tell anything but on arrival day checked the dinner menue and we made decision not to have dinner.

View was good and room was clean but...

THE VIEW

Cons:

Our Bedroom with a nice seaview was on the 1st floor,however after taking the lift we had to go down steps up steps down steps through self closing doors and small corridors until we got to the room.
It would be too much for an eldely couple or anyone with disabilities.
After a long journey it was a bit of a bummer and a bit exhausting to get to the room but it was clean and big enough with plenty of hot water.Shower was good but
parking would be an issue during the summer months and the only placw was in a bus spot.

We did not have a very good experience at the hotel. However we were having fun in villages and tourist spots.
Pros:

The location of the property was probably the only best thing about the Hotel.

Cons:

1. The pool was closed. We were not informed and the girls could not have a dip. It was the main reason for choosing this hotel.
2. The breakfast was of very poor quality. Did not have breakfast at the hotel after the 1 attempt.
3. The bed mattress spring was broken. Water pressure was very low in the shower hose as the bath tap was leaking water when the shower was being used in the mixer taps. Furniture was of poor quality. Overall the hotel needs spending money and upgrade its facilities. I had to spray the room for a fresh feel when we first checked in.

Pros:

Main plus was the very helpful and friendly staff. It was also a good breakfast - an added bonus was the happy hour in the bar 😀

Cons:

Although the property was very clean it just seemed a little ”tired”.

Lovely welcoming hotel with amazing location! Sadly bad guest on our stay!

The location was spot on perfect the fact you can hear the sea makes it even more special.

The staff hands down are amazing and really do care about how you feel at the hotel let alone extremely helpful!

We would love to come back at a much later date when work has been done and to be able to use the pool!

Cons:

Rooms definitely need a revamp and I personally would say new mattress but let’s be honest here we are all fussy when it comes to things like that. Also I can’t believe I’m saying this but if there is a way the hotel could turn down the heating that would be amazing as it was far too hot for us which gave a-bit of a smell in the room😂.

We was definitely gutted that the pool was out of use (fully understand why) however, explaining to my 3 year old that the pool was closed and seeing her upset was deflating, we was not made aware previously that the pool is closed if we was I personally think we would of looked for a cheaper place to stay.

We did have to request to move to another room due to other guest being rude and extremely loud till silly time at night! With zero respect to others or staff for that matter, due to this we didn’t have a pleasant experience and barely got any sleep. But this is not the hotel or staff fault this is purely from rude and bad behaviour guest!

Awful and dirty hotel! Rude staff

The view from the room was lovely

Cons:

Hotel was advertised as having a swimming pool this was the main reason we booked the hotel. When I asked about the pool the lady was extremely rude! She explained the pool was closed and that was clearly stated on the website which was not the case at all I have screen shots to prove this. The room was basic no chairs on the balcony, shower plug and tiles were filthy. The breakfast was awful! Cutlery and glasses filthy! I was given a refund of £30 and that is unacceptable! It took till the next morning for us to be offered a partial refund if that was the case the day we arrived we would of booked elsewhere for a full refund as the hotel, lack of facilities, breakfast, cleanliness and attitude of the staff was diabolical! Staff rude and argued that the pool closure was stated it was not other guests were also complaining.

So disappointing and have been mislead about restaurant. Swimming pool and entertainment

So very disappointed I had my 80 year old mother with me and my Sister celebrating her Birthday xx we were excited to use the swimming pool which was closed and have dinner in the hotel which was also closed and having some evening entertainment which didn’t happen the hotel is in the process of being refurbished but we were not told of this so we were very disappointed … Only 4 other guest in the hotel which felt very strange. The new management told us there would be a coach load arriving the next day and the restaurant would be open so I can’t understand why the restaurant wasn’t open my Mum has problems with her walking so it was annoying we had to go and and find somewhere to eat so very disappointing the hotel will be lovely once the builders have finished
