Location and staff behaviour. Manjot was courteous friendly and polite, she was kind and helpful as she helped us with almost everything making it a comfortable stay for us.
Great location. Great breakfast. Good sized room.
Bathroom - the vinyl was lifting in the bathroom so gave a feel of being in need of replacement.
Parking - Advertised as with parking but due to parked coaches in the small car park and limited spaces often had to park away from hotel. Might be worth advertising as limited parking on a first come first served basis to avoid disappointment.
The view outside of the hotel was just mesmerising, straight for to the ocean! The love walk to the beach was just few minutes! The lift don’t to the beach was so cute and the view again was beautiful! The breakfast room was lovely and the service was just as being in a lovely restaurant! Parking was good too.
Everything was fine.
The room was large with a lot of wardrobe space and the beds were comfortable. The view from the balcony was as hoped for. The staff worked hard to make our stay enjoyable, especially the bar personnel and the front of house staff
The main issue was breakfast. The hotel caters for up to 4 coach parties a week (which we were unaware of) so service at breakfast was chaotic to say the least. The window for breakfast for independent guests was an hour. After a few comments from guests the coffee shop was opened up for us to have our breakfast in peace. They should do this as routine for all independent guests. The food was well cooked but you did not always get what you ordered and the vending machines were not always working. This is no criticism of the staff they were just under too much pressure. Our room was not always serviced each day so we tended to leave notes on the door if we needed anything. The hotel had a lot of stairs to get to the rooms, coffee shop and restaurant, the lift was small, so not a good place to stay if you have mobility issues.
The location was excellent. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The entertainment was very good.
The room we were allocated was far too hot, and didn't get any sleep. The next day we were given the opportunity to move to another room which had a balcony and we were able to leave the door open.
We would have preferred a walk in shower rather than one over the bath.
Door didn’t lock
Toilet full of excrement on check in
Not enough towels in room
The location was excellent. Our room was very large, clean and comfortable with beautiful view of the sea. Evening entertainment was enjoyable.
Unfortunately the breakfast apart from starting at 8.30 am which I felt was rather late and was only available for one hour. Myself and my son along with many other guests started to arrive at 8.20am only to be met by the head waiter who shouted at as all to get back, and we were not allowed to take a table until precisely 8.30. As he and the chef were not ready, despite coffee, cereals and juices were on show. Eventually at 8.30 we were allowed to take seats, but this proved chaotic, as by now there were loads of guests and the waiter was insisting to take people to tables and hand menus out, despite other members of staff standing to attention doing nothing. Obviously the head waiter felt he needed to control everything. This was disappointing as there was so much chaos that myself and son left the restaurant and went elsewhere for breakfast even though I had paid for breakfast. When you have paid a hotel for room and breakfast I expect it to be pleasant and relaxing not scenes from the the Titanic !!!
Breakfast was terrible staff were rude and the food was inedible
Breakfast
Love the location, no more hope hill. Staff were wonderful.
Nothing
The rooms need to be updated...also to reach certain rooms you have to walk alot , it like a maze
Hot water & excellent gluten free breakfast.
Myself, my.Son and grandchildren 10 &13, newly made friends that night with a single Mum and her 13 yr old who has a diagnosed ADHD condition. All three had gradually bonded and were excitedly running around in the garden at 1030 and were told off for being noisy as people were sleeping. Would it not be better if you advertised not suitable for young children?
The location of hotel is good, unfortunately the shanklin beach is very dirty.
The hotel itself was clean, the room I booked had a sea view which was has i expected.
The hotel did not have blackout curtains in my room,
The kettle did not work had to go back to reception to get a new kettle,
The bed was not made propley. The sheets were too big for bed and not folded in propley.
There is no phone in the room to contact reception, you ha e to ring off your olive or go down in person.
The breakfast Well there is 1 hour for breakfast 8.30 am -9.30 and check out time is 10.00am.
In the 1 hour of breakfast which I felt was very rushed. They do cater for vegetarian/vegan options .
