An exceptional stay in the german capital

Probably the best hotel we have ever stayed in, in every respect. Exceptionslly kind, freindly and caring staff.

Traumhaftes Wochenende direkt im Herzen der Hauptstadt

Die Lage des Hotels direkt am Brandenburger Tor ist außergewöhnlich. Das stilvolle Ambiente und das hervorragend geschulte Personal machen den Aufenthalt zu einem Erlebnis. Die Einrichtung ist geschmackvoll und unterstreicht den gehobenen Charakter des Hotels. Das Frühstückbuffet war sehr reichhaltig und optisch ansprechend angerichtet.

Hotel mit großen Namen und großem Flair, aber etwas "in die Jahre gekommen".
Pros:

Lage und Flair des Hotels. Sehr freundliche und meist umfassend bemühte Mitarbeiter. Faires (fast schon günstiges) Pricing (z.B. auch Hotelbar, z.B. auch für Spa-Anwendungen), allemal für ein 5-Sterne-Hotel in bester Lage einer deutschen Großstadt.

Cons:

Leider eine mittlerweile veraltete Einrichtung (Möbelstil, Holztöne, Farben, auch Lichtkonzept im Zimmer - man sieht uns spürt dass das Haus aus 1997 ist) aber das ist letztlich auch Geschmackssache.

Bedauerlicher ist der wirklich deutlich "abgewohnte" Zimmerzustand (angeschlagene Ecken an Türen und Möbeln, abgewohnter Teppich, Schubladen vom Waschtisch die locker hängen, etc etc ...) und dabei hatten wir eine durchaus gute Buchungskategorie im obersten Stock im Haupthaus mit Blick auf "Unter die Linden".
Teilw. wirklich unschön sind tatsächlich auch dreckige Möbel (z.B. die vielen gelben Leder-Stühle in der Hotelhalle, die definitiv keinen guten Eindruck hinterlassen!).
Tatsächlich musste ich etwas lachen, als im Badezimmer auch eines der großen Bade-Handtücher so stark abgenutzt war, dass es an der Knickstelle schon durchsichtig war / ein Loch zeigte.

Also alles in allem etwas in der Renovierungs- und vermutlich am Ende vom Tag auch in der Kostenfalle. Und möglicherweise fehlt auch ein gewisser Blick fürs Detail bzw. herrscht "Alltagsblindheit".

Dennoch: WIR KOMMEN GERNE WIEDER ! Das ADLON übt trotzdem noch den gewissen Reiz aus ! Und letztlich passt der "schrullige Charme" dann am Ende sogar auch wieder zur (failed city) Berlin... ;-)

Der Service ist einzigartig, alle Angestellten im Hotel sind höchst professionell.
Das gesamte Ambiente ist phänomenal. Die Lage ist perfekt am Brandenburger Tor.
Im Zimmer war alles wie es sein musste, das Frühstück war Weltklasse,
somit eindeutig Adlon oblige erfüllt.
