Check-in was smooth and host allowed the room charge to be split between myself and my traveling partner. This was a pleasant surprise since the last few times at this location, we were not allowed to do that, and that created problems for us.
The room was very disappointing. There was no hair dryer. There was no coffee maker. There weren't any cups in the room to take a drink of water with a pill.
After check-in on the first day, returning to the room on the second day and the door key card would not let us in the outer door to the building. New cards had to be requested at the front desk, and they did NOT open the door to our room. It took another visit to the front desk to get something to work. THIS IS INEXCUSABLE!

Hair in bath tub
The location - close to STL but far enough away to not feel like you were in the city. Breakfast was decent with scrambled eggs & sausage, various breads, fruits, and yogurt. A variety of juices and hot drinks (including coffee, tea, and hot cocoa) were available.
We had to switch rooms within minutes of arriving, the first room had some plumbing issues and the second room was okay. The beds were a little too soft for my liking but were comfortable enough.
Hotel was full. Lots of complaints noted as I went 3 times to front desk with issues. No housekeeping. My room had a bloody towel.in a drawer. Blood spot on second bedspread. No remote for tv. No ice bucket available at desk, but no ice so...
My adult daughter's room had sand in her bed. Asked for clean sheets, none ever provided.
Elevator dirty. Touched buttons with my elbow. Carpet disgusting. Breakfast was semi warm, not appealing and barely basic.
My bathroom was clean, but no wash cloth and only 2 towels. No water glasses. My daughter had no soap so I broke my bar and gave her half. Again, no housekeeping.
Young lady at front desk admitted she was new. But she did give me a tv remote. Apologizing to all for complaints she fielded. She was doing her best, but apparently no back up with housekeeping.
Really, who makes a bed with a very apparent blood spot? Lack of vacuuming. No glasses. Not enough towels. Bloody towel in drawer!! No housekeeping. No one answering phones. No ice bucket.

The beds were comfortable
Prepaid reservation with booking.com thru PayPal on my creditcard. Upon arrival front desk asked for a card to have on file. I provided my debit card thinking it was only for a deposit, website says $50 deposit. I got up to the room and my bank flagged me a notification of overdraft 339.26. Front Desk charged my debit card. I was in the room and immediately noticed refrigerator didn't work, and after traveling I only just wanted to brush my teeth - SINK CLOGGED UP wouldn't drain. Nightmare continued MANAGER wasn't there, nobody " Had authority" to help me with the double charged bank situation. I demanded to checkout after this first horrible night. Im still waiting for refunds!!!!!!!!!!! ABSOLUTELY FRAUD IM OWED MONEY BACK Ive disputed it thru Bank of America, Chase Bank my credit card. And PayPal. I ABSOLUTELY DO NOTTTTTTTTTTT RECOMMEND ANYBODY PROVIDING PAYMENT INFORMATION TO THIS HOTEL. Not to mention its a unsafe location
Proximity to freeway and parking
Was told they were understaffed. Had problems with my tv and both ice machines didn’t work. Had stayed there before, but things are not as good now. For the cost of this room, I expected more.
