Hôtel Restaurant Le Vieux Logis

Today, we stopped by this joint for lunch. This is my first time here on the outskirts of Geneva. The food was really delicious and staff were very polite. We can’t wait to come back again here really soon. Thank you so much to the entire staff for having us.

The "restaurant" and hotel have a very weird and unpleasant vibe. Dated and dark, poor food and service. One of the staff (manager?) made an inappropriate remark to our teenage daughter and we simply didn't feel welcome.

Eine sehr schöne Unterkunft in einem unglaublich romantischen Dorf. Wir kommen sicherlich sehr gerne wieder.

Excellent etablissement !!! Tres bien tenue, tres propre !!! Chambre spacieuse et tres bien équipée. Personnel, au TOP !!!! Et vraiement une excellente équipes pluridisciplinaires .
L'encadrement ( Nicole ) .... Est une personne EXCEPTIONNELLE, PROFESSIONNELLE,
Tout est fait pour ne pas quitter l'éttablissement, tellement on s'y s'en bien !!!!!

Quant place to stay. Wished we had stayed longer.

This is a sad operating restaurant that must’ve seen better times and certainly better management. The current manager was to say the least extremely unfriendly to her own staff and guests.

Don’t be a sucker tourist… avoid at all costs and go to any of the neighboring restaurants. If they’re all booked out (as Yvoire is a very touristy spot), then just wait a half/ hour after the peak service & enjoy the French service & food that you expect.

I think they were short staffed as it wasn’t very welcoming

We just spent three nights here and appreciate the kindness of the staff. We were the only people staying in the hotel off season and they were kind to open the restaurant for us at night and very patient with the fact that we speak very little French. Thank you for your hospitality!

Instructions to find the car park could be clearer after an already long drive and then being forced back into a one way system as a result. There were no staff there at 7-30 am to check us out and the place was dark! Doors were noisy but it’s an old building. Very rustic with a quaint balcony.

Séjour magnifique 10/10 !!!

Staff was very friendly and helpful. Everything was quite clean and new. We had a view of the lake from our room. From the “new port” which is just a short walk from the hotel, we took a short, 20 min. boat ride to Nyon on the Swiss side of the lake. In the evening, we saw a great rock trio at a nearby cafe.

In Geneva for work and a friend recommended I spend my free day in Yvoire. It was lovely. I had an opportunistic lunch at Le Vieux Logis where I ordered the classic filets de perches and a strawberry tart. Lunch was very nice on the outdoor patio. Nice but simple lettuce with dressing to start. Fresh hot fish and fries, just a tad on the greasy side. Service throughout was very friendly but a bit slow. The servers are moving fast, there just don’t seem to be enough of them. In my opinion, the bill was pricey: les perches with fries, 500 ml of Pellegrino and a tart for €42 and 2 hours of my time. However, you are clearly there as a tourist so I guess it is somewhat to be expected.
