As long as you like a firm mattress, MOGANA has everything you could want in a botique hotel.
Pros:

The location, guest rooms, staff and amenities are all excellent. Book the breakfasts if possible, they were varied and delicious. The property is less than 10 minutes from the subway and walkable to many attractions, but away from the bustling streets of more heavily traveled areas.

Cons:

The only caveat is the mattresses are quite firm, which was an issue the first couple of nights as I have some joint issues. Once I adjusted, it was less of an issue.

Incredible stay, would stay again!
Pros:

Our first time in Kyoto and the rooms were absolutely beautiful, spacious, relaxing and the location was incredible. Very close to everything you need, restaurants, markets. Lovely staff always willing to help out.
Would highly recommend!

The real gem of Kyoto
Pros:

The room and specially the bathroom were absolutely stunning. So elegant, spacious and comfortable.

The in-room breakfast was really nice, relaxing and very healthy.

The staff were friendly and helpful and the hotel had a very calm feel to it which I really appreciated as Kyoto is quite a hectic and large city.

Cons:

Too much light comes through the blinds when the sun rises. If this can be improved upon the hotel will be just perfect then

A beautiful calming stay
