Very nice bed, great shower (handicap room), Excellent breakfast! One of the best we've had.
Very difficult to find the hotel. Once off the Interstate, go through the roundabout and turn quickly left at the light. The hotel did not seem to have a very visible sign/marquee. I had to stop at another hotel for directions. Go past the Popeyes restaurant to find it. The hotel itself was separate from other buildings. It somehow did not feel secure.
Hotel had a musty smell to it. Looks like an older facility
Bed was comfortable, shower was nice and hot.
A/C was too cold, needed another blanket on the bed.
Waffle batter was too thin. No decaf coffee in breakfast room.
Convenient to Loves truck stop where my driver was parked
The price was outrageous for the accommodations / out dated.
Overall the hotel was in a good location in from of McDonald’s and it has other places near by
It was only for 2 days so nothing to say about the property
The hotel seemed okay when we walked in. Staff was nice and we were able to book an extra room last minute. The moment we walked in the room all we could smell was cigarettes, it’s not like they even tried to clean it. (mind you it’s a smoke free hotel) The website states business hotel but it was filled with smokers. One nice thing was the pool, it only goes up to 3 1/2 feet but it is heated so that’s a plus. Not sure if it’s sensitive skin but most of the family got rashes. Last of all the key cards barely work, the workers stated not to leave them by metal(phone, keys, ect) but even if left on the table they would simply just stop working.Theres cheaper hotels for better nearby so do your research before planning your trip. Last thing the noise level was good but you could hear people next door when talking not clearly but still heard as well as people walking from upstairs. Overall 1 star hotel do better.
Horrible experience! From the moment we arrived we had issues. Got to the hotel, waited 20 minutes for anyone to come to the front desk to check us in. Then when we finally got to the room, I checked the beds for bugs and sure enough a live bug was crawling on the sheet !! Long black Hair was in both beds. Extension cords were zip tied to the wall. There was hair on the floor of the bathroom, cobwebs in all corners of the room. On top of that we asked for no smoking and my daughter who has asthma immediately couldn’t breathe walking in the room because of how musty and smoke smelling it smelled like. 0/10. Really disappointed. Then when we went to check out the guy at the front desk didn’t seem to care almost as if he knew the rooms were bad so it was expected … and he told us we’d have to contact the booking site we went through but when we left we immediately contacted the booking site and they couldn’t even get in touch with anyone at the hotel! Will be following up on this overall service was horrible and just so dissatisfied this was my mom and kids first out of town trip in years. Expected so much more.
The rooms were clean and the location was close to where we hiked and spent the days during our visit.
The lady taking care of the cafe area was sweet and wonderful. She was very accomodating to our needs with traveling with teenagers and a six year old. The staff were kind most of the time. We had dirt on our shoes from hiking which inconvenienced some of the cleaning staff. We did not have access to a broom which we ended up wasting a box of tissues trying to clean the room the best we could. The pool is small however everyone had fun playing in the pool. Having only one waffle machine makes it challenging for a larger group to make waffles without others having to wait. More than one would be nice. The fire alarm went off our first night in the middle of the night and we exited the building. Some individuals stood inside the building. The staff appeared to be messing with a panel behind the desk and the fire department never came. No staff communicated that there was a false alarm. There was an all clear given, however the alarm sounded a few more times following the first alarm. We will most likely stay at another location if we return to hike again.
Hotel is clean but does need updates and pillows were uncomfortable. Fell in the shower that morning due to tub and floor being slick when wet.
