Good value for clean and basic accomodation
Pros:

Cuc Phuong bungalow provides basic but clean accommodation for a good price. The food was plentiful and very tasty, with a few good vegan and vegetarian options. The homestay is in a nice location a few kilometres from the entrance to the national park, and there are scooters and pedal bikes that you can hire to get around. Cycling is good if you want a bit of a workout! The hosts were friendly and helpful and offered us a ride back to Ninh Bình at the end of our stay at a reasonable price.

Cons:

Our bungalow didn't have glass in the window, only shutters. They didn't fit very tightly so insects did come in - an insect mesh over the window would have been a good addition. As is often the case in Vietnam, the beds were rather hard for our tastes.

We did struggle a bit to find information online on how to get to the area. The host was responsive on Whatsapp and informed us that there is a bus from Ninh Bình bus station to Nho Quan, the nearest town (number 5 bus). We were able to get a Grab taxi from Nho Quan to the homestay, although there only seemed to be one driver around. I have heard there is a bus direct from Hanoi to Nho Quan too. A taxi all the way from Ninh Bình is also an option, but be aware it may not be so easy to get a driver on the way back!

Pros:

100 percent reccomend if you like remote quiet places. A few minutes drive from the national park, beautiful garden with chickens, rabbits and dogs. The owner is extreamly nice, came to pick us up from the bus station at 5 am! They have great food, they do laundrey, rent motorbikes and in general are sweet and very helpful with reccomendations on where to go. Do know that its a 40 minute drive to tam cuc, though the drive is extreamly beautiful.

Pros:

Le personnel était très accueillant et bienveillant. L'hôte nous a changé de chambre pour qu'on soit plus au calme. On a loué un scooter pour le soir, en quelques minutes on l'a eu et pour pas cher.
L'endroit est paisible, la chambre était propre, la climatisation fonctionnait bien, rien à redire.

Tranquilidad y buena comida
Pros:

Es un lugar perfecto para descansar y visitar el parque. La persona que me atendió habla inglés bastante bien entonces la comunicación fue fácil y fluida, además la comida es muy rica.
