Location was good. The gaming room was nice to have.
Overall no real complaints it was older with the more rustic look and smell which was ok.
Friendly staff. Knowledgeable about the area.
That we didn't stay longer.
Central location being close to everything. Love the balconys/porches. Bed was comfortable. Lots of channels on tv I appreciated. Cleaning stafe was quick and good. Love the decor charm of the lobby. LOVE all the sweet kitty’s!
Wish the outside common area where the 2 rickety picnic benches were was just a little nicer.
Awesome staff! So welcoming. The lodge and the island was like stepping back in time no hustle, bustle lots of rocking chairs, which we enjoyed.
The weather, but we made the best of it
We were told places to eat would be open no reservations needed. Not true nothing was open, not even coffee shop's.Terrible experience,if we knew ahead of time we would of been prepared.
Chris the bartender is stellar. We had a great time and he was super friendly. Would recommend 10/10. I think this place is definitely a stop to make. Family, partner, friends. 100% wonderful.

Room very comfortable and clean
Sleeping outside may have been better or at minimum a comparable experience to staying in our room.
First, the pictures on the website are incredibly misleading. Each and every corner was run down, paint chipped, bed frames and furniture stained.
Our room was damp, smelled like must, all clothes taken into the room needed to be washed immediately upon returning home, even if they weren’t worn while on the island.
Bugs everywhere. Our bathrooms and bedrooms were filled with mosquitos and other little insects. It is nothing short of an infestation. The window AC units (none of which worked because their filters needed to be changed) are not sealed to the windows so you are functionally sleeping with windows wide open.
We didn’t even bother raising these issues because front desk clerk was rude the second we walked in the door. We would have left if island wasn’t sold out for a wedding.
Worst hotel experience of my life.

Great room, beds were very comfortable! Nice for the night. Not sure if I’d stay as a solo person as there were some little gaps beneath the door and
Location location easy to get around in also the staff was so friendly and helpful. Great place to stay.
Stayed two nights at Blackbeard’s Lodge — about $250 per night, which is pretty typical for Ocracoke’s high hotel rates. This is a locally run business, and after a recent mandatory evacuation for Hurricane Aaron, I didn’t mind paying a little extra to support the local economy.
The room was basic but clean, with a comfortable bed, plenty of hot water, and a coffee maker (but bring your own coffee). Wi-Fi was solid and parking was easy. There’s also a pool, game room, and bike/golf cart rentals.
Not luxury, but a friendly, dependable base for exploring Ocracoke. I’d happily stay again.
