Pros:

The bed and room was clean.
The staff was courteous, although language is a barrier if you don't know the local language.
Location is good, because it's 5 minutes walk to the Basilica church.

Cons:

The cleanliness of the bathrooms. A lot of hardwater stains.
You have to ask for everything - shampoo, electric iron (had to inform twice), water bottles provided are only 100ml which is clearly not sufficient in the heat and humidity of Velenkanni.
