Newly renovated by new owner to a high standard

Lovely modern room. Comfy bed . Also plenty of tea and coffee sachets in the room along with a espresso coffee machine with 3 pods.
Food in the restaurant was lovely.
The music in the bar area was really loud. However, when we asked for it to be turned down a little it was no problem.
Room lovely, additional extras e.g. fridge, portable air conditioning unit, toiletries etc.

Lovely room bit cold,did manage to warm up. radiator in the bathroom was cold. Windows were very drafty,but it wouldn't stop me staying here again maybe another room .

When we arrived at about 4.30 pm our room was not ready. We were left for over 30 minutes in the reception area. No offer of a refreshment for the inconvenience.
When the room was eventually ready. My son caught his leg on a sharp bit of metal on the bed frame. This was reported to reception. I had also requested an Iron as this was stated as available in the description when booking. I had also asked if the coffee pods for the coffee machine were provided as there were non in our room. The receptionist stated they are included and would bring some along with the iron. About 20mins later the first knock on the door. The lady gave me an iron that was not fit for purpose but fit for the bin. (Picture included) I showed her the sharp bit of metal on the bed and she said she would report it. She said they had run out of coffee pods so had to make do with instant coffee.
Next knock on the door 2 members of staff to look at the sharp bit of metal on the bed. Another iron provided. This one was in better condition but leaked all over the clothes. The ironing board had no padding but a towel led under the cover. I don't think it's fair to advertise these items as available when clearly they are not up to standard.
We were going to the theatre in Llanelli so needed to get ready. Whilst getting ready another knock on the door. A maintenance man and another man. This meant me having to get dressed in the bathroom as I couldn't walk out into the room as they arrived while I was in the shower.
They proceeded to attempt to fix the sharp bit of metal on the sofa bed. Well, the maintenance guy was smacking it with a hammer whilst the other guy stood watching him. My son and partner were in the room staring in disbelief while I was dressing in the bathroom.
At this point once dressed we vacated the room with the 2 men still trying to fix the bed. My partner told them how farcical the whole experience had been since check in.
