I booked a room in January for May 2, 2025 for my daughter for her wedding night. We found out once we arrived in Sydney, two days before the wedding, that the hotel was completely closed. We were never informed or contacted about the closure. They had canceled our reservation but did not email or call to let us know. We found out from a friend that lived there that it was closed and had to scramble to find another hotel for my daughter's wedding night. This is such poor customer service and a terrible way to do business. We will be visiting Australia often as she lives there now but I will never stay with this hotel again. I called customer service to complain and was told it said on the website the hotel was closed and that was all the help that was offered.
The best experience of my last 10 trips..hotel staff is amazing..all of them..beds super comfortable all new..wonderful pillows..rooms very well equipped and kept amenities supply each day and you could ask as many as ou wish..staff available 24 hours for anything you need..I plan to get back to Coogee and would book again with no doubt..commercial lovely road 1 block from the hotel..you cross to beach with just towels provided by hotel
Having to pay $100 per day to park and learning later that guests pay only $50 per day. How is that managed? If your paying as much per night that I was, you shouldn't have to pay to park.
Pool is not heated and the hot tub did not work (same cold temperature as the pool). You can not order dinner until after 5pm even if sitting at the bar.
EXCELLENT as always, stayed there several times now, and have not had a single complaint!! the bed was so comfy i almost missed checkout, which is at 11.00, so you can what i mean. they also let me leave my car after checkout, while i went to lunch.

Beautiful views and balcony, four of us (two teens and two adults) fit comfortably in a two double bed w balcony room. They were very accommodating as we arrived early. They let us use a shower room (as we had a long flight) and held our luggage’s with no problem until check in time. The beach is literally across the street, bus transportation is also across the street. Plenty on restaurants and cafes in the area. Coogee to bondi walk right there. Also, our offer included buffet breakfast in their restaurant, which was great. Highly recommend for families. Also, it has a tennis court, that although was a bit out of shape, it was much appreciated and kids enjoyed it. Pool is small, but nice. The main feature is the location right by the ocean. Can’t beat that.
We love this hotel and location. The staff is so accommodating and helpful. They always try to get your rooms ready early or store your luggage while you wait. Coogee beach is an ideal beach.

The hotel is the highest in town giving great views over the pool / beach if you book them rooms however the cleanliness is lacking as our room was dusty and we last stayed in 2019 and nothing has changed to improve the guests experience other than less items on the in room dining menu and more debris on the tennis court!
I have stayed at hundreds of hotels and this hotel is in my top few. My wife and I were so surprised by the location (amazingly beautiful), service was consistently excellent, room had a gorgeous view from an unexpected balcony, and breakfast was great.
I booked 2 rooms at the Crown Plaza Coogee for last weekend. The hotel lobby and Shutters the restaurant was lovely and updated. We had a cocktail at the great bar and the buffet breakfast albeit small was excellent - although it would be nice to see the addition of some proper bread. The rooms were fine with super comfy beds and pillows. The bathrooms are very tired and awkward to move about in but the view made up for it all. We were in Room 425 and it was MAGIC with two balconies facing north and east. Nothing like hearing the waves as you drop off to sleep - day AND night! Finally, I have to make a special mention of Elsa on the front desk. She was just lovely and the perfect ambassador to check us in for our stay and set the tone for what was a fantastic weekend in Coogee!
This hotel was absolutely amazing. The staff went above and beyond like I have never experienced. The location is phenomenal and the view is incredible.

This is the perfect place to start your Australian adventure! Very close to the airport, along a beautiful beach. A wonderful place to rest after a long journey. From here you can spread out easily to explore Sydney, or move on to other destinations if that is the plan. Well kept, well staffed and accommodating. Good job all!
Nice location
The cost of the room was $608 and we believe the impost for parking is unreasonable. The parking should be part of the tariff.
This hotel was worth every dollar. From checkin to dinners and check out, all staff were helpful and welcoming, dinner was pricey but so delightful and delicious we ate at the on site restaurant twice! The hotel also provided a welcoming bottle of wine and cheese plate our first night! The facility is clean and well maintained and the location is perfect! I highly recommend a room with an oceanfront balcony as we spent a lot of time on the balcony enjoying the view.
Stayed for 4 nights. The staff is friendly and accommodating. The hotel is showing age and the breakfast was expensive, so we ate somewhere else. Location is great, close to the beach and to all the action. Water pressure in the shower was quite low. There was no cleaning spray and small towels in the gym, even after I asked at the reception. The pool area has very few chairs. We went once, but it was full. Probably will try different hotel next time.
Hotel is in a spectacular location. The staff is incredibly friendly and they have just recently renovated most of the hotel. There are 2 standouts however that I would like to call attention to. Camillo in the restaurant bar area and Ash the morning chef. Both go above and beyond and truly exemplify what it means to be an outstanding employee in the service industry. Thank you both!!!
