Pros:

Feühstück war sehr gut, die Lage war etwas abgelegen vom nächsten Ort, aber für uns ideal, weil wir den South-West Path gingen, der direkt da vorbei führte. Der Garten und die Aussicht dort mit der Ruhe war wunderschön.

Hit and Miss B&B
Pros:

Peaceful location. Well off the beaten track. Good breakfasts (we were fortunate that the chef was in on all of our 5 mornings to provide a cooked breakfast). Lovely sea viiews. Pleasant staff when they were there in. Beautiful grounds. Nice balcony verandah.

Cons:

No on-site staff so woe betide you if a problem arises (e.g you lock yourself out of your room). No way of contacting anybody out of hours. Marie Celeste feel if you arrive late. Poorly lit or unlit paths around the site - potentially hazardous. Nowhere to dry wet clothes or wet towels. No heating available on cold evenings. Room service poor - had to ask for top ups of coffee milk toilet paper etc.
Decor impressive but sometimes impractical e.g. bathroom mirror providing nil visibility for someone short. No bathroom shelf.

Relaxing break in real seafront refuge.
Pros:

Stunning location - views of the sea were unrivalled. Good continental breakfast both days - welcome change from cooked breakfast!

Pros:

The location was incredible, lovely views and amazing beach near by. Walking distance from Porthscatho. The staff were friendly and helpful.

Cons:

I understand that the place has seen better days, but we have still enjoyed it. The breakfast was not the best - there were supposed to be 2 days of buffet, not cooked breakfast, which turned into 3, it wouldn't have been a problem, but the buffet was not the best, very little diversity.

Wielkość terenu i lokalizacja. Bliskość morza i plaży. Spokój. Bardzo uprzejmi pracownicy.

Cons:

Było nie czysto, nawet przy 2 tygodniowym pobycie hotel nie przewiduje wymiany pościeli (na naszą prośbę było to zrealizowane). Bardzo mały wachlarza powtarzalnych śniadań z karty menu, a w losowe dni bardzo skromny bufet. Na realizację prośby o czyste ręczniki czekaliśmy nawet dobę, a mydło i papier czasem nawet nie docierały. Balkon to nie balkon, a jedynie okno francuskie.

The staff was nice. Breakfast was good too.
The ocean itself was very beautiful. Rooms were comfortable. View from one of the rooms was nice too.

Cons:

The beach that's suppose to be private was horrible though. There was a bunch of seaweed washed up so there was this horrible stench, you couldn't even sit for a second without nearly puking. So couldn't enjoy that which is quite disappointing as that was one of the main reasons we booked this b&b, had to go down to Porthcurno to enjoy a day at the beach.

We had a lovely few days especially as the weather made it - we could have breakfast outside every morning
Pros:

The location and views are amazing.
The rooms are comfortable but very mean with bathroom toiletries. Just one teeny shower gel for a couple for 2 nights! Barely enough for one night. Only if you stay 3 nights then they “clean” the room and bathroom and replace the one teeny shower gel sachet. My 5 year old granddaughter can straighten the bed better. There in NO staff around to ask for anything. You only see staff at breakfast!
There is no bar - no where to have a cup of tea when you return after a day out. Why not run an honesty bar which we have experienced at so many other b&bs

Pros:

Die fantastische Sicht auf das Meer und die Küste von einem hübschen Garten aus ist das große Plus dieser Unterkunft. Die Einrichtung sieht optisch schön aus und paast gut zum Gesamt-Ambiente.

Cons:

Wenn man genauer hinsah, war das Zimmer, besonders im Bad, schon etwas in die Jahre gekommen und die Sauberkeit war auch nicht überwältigend. Was sehr negativ war: Das Zimmer war mega-hellhörig, man hörte jedes Räuspern aus dem Neben-Zimmer und wenn abends der TV im Nachbarzimmer lief (oder ein Pärchen stritt), konnte man jedes Wort mitverfolgen :-(. Das Personal war nur für sehr wenige Stunden am Tag verfügbar, außerhalb dieser Zeit war man auf sich gestellt und konnte nichts klären. Das Frühstück war enttäuschend in Auswahl und Angebot und dem doch recht stolzen Preis des B& B nicht angemessen.

This place is sadly a shadow of its former self!
Pros:

Stunning location very close to Porthcurnick Beach and Portscatho village. The quality of the hot breakfast was very good. The staff(when there were any around) were very friendly and helpful.

Cons:

It was filthy. The communal areas had cobwebs everywhere and didn’t look like they had been hoovered in years. All of the decor and furniture felt tired and worn out. The headboards in the room were thick with dust and had grease stains on them from years of use. The beds were uncomfortable and the mattresses felt well past their sell by dates. We had a hand held only shower in our room which was very difficult to use and had poor pressure. It was help yourself for drinks at breakfast but the coffee machine was constantly running out of water and was very old fashioned and low quality. The napkins at breakfast were stained and fraying. This in no way felt like a premium B&B and the price of the room was not justified in any way.

Cons:

I was unaware when we booked that there would not be a cooked breakfast, I wrongly assumed that Buffet was a selection of either cooked or continental. I heard other quest also astonished that there were lack of a hot option. Apparently there is 5 out of 7 days a week !
