I was so sorry to arrive so late and miss dinner at this fabulous, quirky hotel - the place smelled delicious, and was warm and inviting. The room had amazing beams in the most unlikely places, I'm glad I'm short, but it definitely felt unique - in a good way! Now to the best part. I was only there for one night, and went back to change into more comfortable clothes for my onward journey after a full day's work across the road. I was handed a box of hot food 'on the house' containing an assortment of deliciousness that I was very grateful for - schnitzels, spätzle, some lovely meat dish... which I got to eat with a local beer at the train station. I arrived to Frankfurt airport only to realise that I had left my passport at reception the previous night - it was probably still in the photocopier - this was due to several distractions on my part, as well as other guests anxious to check in late at night. I got a train back to Karlsruhe from Frankfurt with only minutes to spare for my late train back to the airport again... one of the staff raced across town to find me on the platform with the passport - I'll never forget her kindness, or that of the staff at this lovely hotel with AMAZING food. Thank you to you all, you have a wonderful team and I wish you every success. Vielen dank!

Pros:

Wir haben hier anlässlich einer Feier im Schalander übernachtet. Zu diesem Zweck ist die Lage des Hotel natürlich perfekt. Das Zimmerausttattung ist für eine Übernachtung völlig ausreichend und auch beim Frühstück hat es uns an nichts gefehlt. Das Zimmer war sehr sauber und es gab sogar eine Nepressomaschine für den ersten Kaffee am Morgen und zwei kleine Flaschen Wasser.

Keine Nachttischlampe, nur kaltes Wand- und Deckenlicht. Kein abnehmbarer Duschkopf, sehr unpraktisch für Frauen. Warmwasser kaum zu erreichen

Der Aufenthalt war für meinen Zweck absolut in Ordnung.
Pros:

Die Lage war für meinen Zweck perfekt, da ich an einer Veranstaltung auf dem Hotelgelände teilgenommen habe. Das Gebäude ist sehr imposant. Die Zimmer könnten aber gemütlicher sein.

Cons:

Die Parksituation ist nicht optimal. Auf der Straße gab es keine verfügbaren Parkplätze. Das Vorfahren zum Entladen ist auch schwierig, weil man dann direkt auf dem Fußweg/Fahrradweg parken muss.

Sehr schön, ich komme wieder.
Pros:

Besonders zu erwähnen ist die aussergewöhnliche Freundlichkeit des Personals. Auch das zum Hotel dazugehörige Restaurant ist sehr empfehlenswert wegen seines wirklich guten Essens, der freundlichen Bedienung und den Empfehlungen des Edelbrand-Sommeliers.

Pros:

Das Bett war ganz gut.

Cons:

Sehr in die Jahre gekommen, schimmelnde Fugen in der Dusche, grenzwertiger Duschvorhang, waren mit Kind (angekündigt) in einem winzigen Zimmer wo praktisch kein Platz für das Kinderbett war und die Verdunkelungsvorhänge kleiner als die Fenster waren. Konnten dann das Zimmer wechseln, da fehlten dann die zweite Decke und Handtuch. Also insgesamt sehr, sehr einfach und das passt nicht zum Preis.

Das Personal war sehr bemüht und aufmerksam.

Cons:

Im Frühstück gibt es kein Bakon!
Das ist sehr schade.
Man erzählte mir es wäre gerade ausgegangen. Das war gelogen denn als Stammkunde hab ich mich in diesem Jahr über diesen Standardsoruch schon mehrfach geärgert.
Ich denke ich werde das Hotel wechseln!
