this place is buns and was was a huge downer for my stowe trip
Pros:

a good location across from the Bench and near other restaurants and shops

Cons:

this is not a nice lodge, but an outdated motel that should have been razed long ago. the ceiling in room is no more than 7' and even less over shower. owner covered over old floor with vinyl, painted the walls and charged a rate nearly equal that of decent lodges in the area. this place is no better than the snow drift, but at twice the price to fake out those unfamiliar.

The Ideal Stowe Getaway with the Boys
Pros:

Stayed here for a guys’ trip and honestly couldn’t have picked a better spot in Stowe. The lodge has that perfect Vermont vibe—rustic, cozy, and cool without feeling dated or try-hard. Plenty of space to spread out, hang out, and relax after long days on the mountain and long nights catching up.
The location is clutch: close to town, close to skiing, but still feels tucked away enough that you can actually unwind. Beds were comfortable, common areas were perfect for late-night beers and laughs, and everything was clean and well taken care of.
This place is ideal for a group—whether you’re skiing, hiking, or just looking to unplug and enjoy Stowe with good people. Zero complaints, lots of great memories. Would 100% stay here again.

Nice people, decent place to stay near village and recreation path.
Pros:

The bed was great! The young lady we worked with at check in and throughout our stay ( Emma?) was very sweet and attentive. The room was cute- the recreation/lodge space was fine. The fitness and pool area needs some love! We have stayed at this property in the past, under different ownership, and can’t see where any updates have been made to the pool or hot tub. It’s pretty dated.

Cons:

Pool, hot tub and especially the fitness area are lacking.

Great stay in Stowe!
Pros:

We had a wonderful family stay at the bluebird caddy hill lodge. The rooms were nicely decorated and spacious, and the lounge at the hotel was a great space for handing out, as well as the games room. Staff was super proactive and could not have been nicer. Definitely would recommend to anyone visiting the area.

Wonderful stay.
Pros:

Wonderful stay. Beds comfortable. Very clean. Fire pit was great. Kids used the arcade and the pool. Great time.

Overall, the hotel made a very positive impression. The location is excellent, the facilities are well maintained, and the staff is friendly, attentive, and professional. The room itself was comfortable and met expectations, and the check-in process was smooth.
The only notable downside was the room cleaning. Unfortunately, housekeeping felt superficial at times — dust was noticeable and some amenities were not consistently replenished. This stood out, especially given the otherwise high standard of service throughout the hotel.
With improved attention to housekeeping, the overall experience would be close to perfect. Aside from this issue, the hotel is solid and easy to recommend.
