All in all it was good when you balance out the good with the areas of improvement
Pros:

Location is great, close to Metro and very convenient to connect to other lines, loads of restaurants with varying prices to suit what your budget is and facilities nearby like self-service laundromat, mini supermarkets, coffee shops. it's like control to almost anything you need with a local flavour. The hotel staff are pleasant, and the front desk is manned 24hrs.

Cons:

I stayed here three years ago and had a great experience. This time I found it noisy, where the room I was placed in on the first floor, I could hear people coming up at night and the room next to mine, I could hear them as the walls must be thin. Three years ago, I was on the second floor, and it was nice and quiet. I would have thought staying 11 nights in total I would have been given a room that s in a quite zone, perhaps not!! The first night it was raining and it was as if the rain was seeping through the walls making that noise as if it was a mouse running through the walls. I will say the front desk Guy was super helpful when I went down at 3:30am to see what the noise was as I could not sleep. I don't want to take away from the good service. Its just this place did no compared to last time and given prices have gone up.

Cons:

Меня поселили в мансарде, в некомфортном номере, из двух крошечных закутков, где было темно из-за маленьких окон, сыро, холодно и душно. Некомфортно очень. При том, что я бронировала и оплатила улучшенный номер. При этом мне говорили, что именно этот номер я и бронировала. Только на третий день меня переселили в нормальный номер, который был вполне хорош. Неприятная ситуация. Меня хотели обмануть и в конце даже не извинились.

Gute Lage, in der Nähe Busstation und Kaffee-Laden sowie Pizza-Restaurant. Zimmer auf Strassenseite etwas laut bei offenem Fenster. Angenehme Atmosphäre, nettes Personal.

Pros:

Peaceful , very clean, extremely helpful staff and conveniently situated for lovely restaurants, bars and shops in Rue Mouffetard. Also walking distance to jardin des plantes where you can catch the batobus ( excellent for visiting the major sights.)

Lovely hotel in the 5th Arrondissment
Pros:

The size of my room was moderate (21 Sq Meters) but the layout was good. Beds on one side, with a window that could open out to face the street (street noise minimal), "living room" on the other sides, with 2 big arms chairs and enough floor space for luggages to be opened out) and "living room" had a window too that opened out to face a courtyard. Between the sleeping and living space was a decent wardrobe with enough hangers and shelves and housed a safe and extra pillows. The bathroom was a decent size and had a window that opened out into the court yard. It was nice to sleep with the windows open and not be bothered by minimal traffic noise The location wasn't very "happening" but it felt safe and quite quiet, with bus stops just a stone's throw a way, making commuting by bus very easy. The front desk and back end staff were very friendly and helpful and their responses to email were always very prompt. The hotel had a very nice vibe. It smelt nice.

Cons:

The pillows were a tad hard for me.

Great welcome in a fab location
Pros:

The downstairs interior and conservatory/garden space were gorgeous. The welcome on arrival was excellent. We loved the location, mostly walked everywhere and took the metro to a couple of further out locations. Loved the water stations on each floor so we could fill our water bottles.

Cons:

The cupboards beside the bed and the bed headboard were dirty. This was disappointing as everything else seemed very clean.
