Amazing must stay in Barcelona!
Pros:

Staff was excellent, concierge and valet service was exceptional, including catering to all our requests across this trip. Communication from the staff was amazing regarding all our coordinated plans with the hotel. The amenities were exceptional and the room itself was a work of art.

The best hotel we’ve stayed in and there’s been plenty!
Pros:

We had a wonderful two night stay and couldn’t recommend this hotel highly enough. The staff were absolutely fantastic and couldn’t have been more helpful and pleasant and the room was very comfortable. Extremely well located, near bars, restaurants, shops and sight seeing places.

Ich hatt noch nie so hellhörige Zimmer. Du hörst den Nachbar in der Nacht ohne Schuhe am Holzboden gehen. auch wenn er sich ein Glas Wasser einschenkt!!!!

Excellant location for the major attractions.
Pros:

Great inner city location. Some city noise is to be expected.
Very nice accommodations and atmosphere.
We generally don't eat at the hotel restaurants. However, we are glad we did at the Claris. The dinner meal and staff were wonderful, and very reasonable.

Exceptional staff
Pros:

We had a fantastic time staying at The Claris Hotel. Our room was spectacular. But the thing that made our stay so special was the amazing friendly staff. Everyone seemed so happy and energised to be working at the hotel. A particular shout out to Eric at Guest Services /Concierge who was so knowledgeable, friendly and helpful in sorting out restaurants for us. The whole reception team including doorman were exceptional. Well done.

Nightmare Experience

SUMMARY: This Hotel has some very creepy vibes and the staff were barely professional with issues that arose during our stay.

For reference, I've traveled to nearly 70 countries and haven't had an experience at a five-star hotel like this one. My mother and I booked the Claris Hotel for 2026 New Years Day celebration and were expecting a great experience at the hotel. Unfortunately, it turned out to be a terrible experience for both of us. First of all, the rooms are laid out with pagan statues and idols, with creepy vibes and when we asked if they could be removed, we were told that they could not be removed. We looked through the other rooms to find that every single room was the same, and that there was no option of removing the statues from the room.

So, we asked the reception if we could be refunded for the two nights we booked - for which the front desk staff did not feel any empathy towards us or or want to help us out with our situation. After an enormous hassle, they ultimately agreed to refund us for one night, which we reluctantly accepted - and stayed at the Grand Hyatt Barcelona, a superb hotel in comparison.

UPDATE: I called American Express today to ask about the one night refund to find that the manager hadn't even approved the refund, and I have since had to call the property twice so far to no avail. It's been a nightmare situation and has felt like pulling teeth from start to finish. I recommend you stay elsewhere, there are so many better options in Barcelona.

Good hotel and location, but for this price the comfort and facilities should be better.
Pros:

The hotel has several strong advantages. The breakfast was very good, with a nice variety and good quality food. The staff were excellent, professional, friendly, and always helpful. Cleanliness was maintained at a very high level throughout the hotel, including the rooms and common areas. The location is outstanding and extremely convenient, making it easy to explore the city and access nearby attractions and restaurants.

Cons:

The gym is very small, cold, and poorly equipped. The room was not very comfortable and lacked a proper workspace. There was also no adequate space or hangers in the room to hang jackets or coats. Access to Netflix and other streaming platforms is only possible via mobile phone applications, while the TV itself offers only basic television channels. Additionally, the plumbing system was extremely noisy, the sound of water drainage woke us up at night when guests on the floor above were using the shower.
