The location.
No hot water or coffee available in the lobby. I had to go to the bar to get hot water the room coffee makers just aren’t suitable.
Loved the location of this property. There is a lovely terrace by the river with plenty of seating. It is in the quieter end of the riverwalk which is nice.
Check in was an easy process. The workers were all pleasant and helpful throughout our stay, and the location was decent as in walking distance to all the shops and restaurants on River Street.
If I had to complain about anything, the temperature of the room was up and down. Somewhat comfortable when not a lot a motion going on but when dressing and sleeping pretty uncomfortable. Had to continuously adjust. The bathroom's exhaust fan didn't work, which gave not much privacy when using the toilet, and shower. Lastly, the price for the breakfast bar was too expensive considering the food selections.
It was the last day of our stay and it was very clean and cozy.
The lobby area made the hotel feel older and more on a lower scale hotel than some of the others, but I would choose this hotel again. The lobby has that Tybee Island feel but very “vacationy”, if you will. This hotel rooms felt and smelled so clean.
I liked the location but there are better.
Way overpriced. Paying for WiFi and every amenity is just gouging. Will not ever stay at a Marriott again.
The property was in a great location with a very wonderful staff. Morgan, the waitress/bartender could not have been any better. She was so friendly and personable. The maître D are manager. Derek was also above and beyond for our stay. The two of those are the ones that stood out and we’ll make us come back. If they don’t train part of your staff, they should. Or stay with seven days and it was a honey bun and it could not have been greater.
There was actually nothing at all. We did not like about the property.
Atmosphere and cleanliness
Clean
Easy parking. Great staff.
The room needs cleaning. The toilet appears to not have been cleaned in weeks. The bathtub was dirty, and there were visible hairs in the tub, and around the bathroom. The surfaces in the entire room need to be cleaned. There was a noticeable spill in front of the coffee machine that was running down the shelf.
Location was great. Able to walk to St. Patrick's Day parade, restaurants, shops.
The price (about $325/night + $45/night for parking)....for a view of the air conditioning system and the parking lot:( Will stay inland next time.
The location and back view
My balcony view from my room
I reserved at a pool view and got a view looking at gravel and AC units on the top of the building
Newness
Cold
Waterfront location. Good food at bar although only dinner option. No explanation or signage of two breakfast options-restaurant or coffee/pastries at bar. Room was great with river view and walk-in shower.
Location further from historic district.
Dropoff in front very confusing. Many cars waited at spot to get ticket not knowing what to do. One Uber taxi picked me up outside lot even though disabled. Two concierges gave me wrong directions to nearby hotel. Front desk staff confused and not totally fluent in English. No bellman to help me with luggage on departure.
