The hotel and staff
The bedroom we were allocated the bathroom did not have walk-in shower both being in our seventies was difficult in and out of bath. There also was a sloping roof at one end of bed that was dangerous if getting up in night hitting head
Stunning Victorian architecture! Brilliant breakfast buffets with a plethora of choices in beautifu rooms! Great position in the city, very central!l Arrived to a great birthday surprise of bubbles, cake, balloon and a hand written note! A gorgeous touch and very appreciated!
Rooms are smallish! We had booked a twin room and they gave us a double bed. Carpet didn't smell great BUT instantly rectified and changed to another room with great apologies.
It was absolutely beautiful especially the reception area ; like a little cathedral inside
We had some misfortune
Booking.Com had a scammer who sent a false message to us through messenger on the Ap that our booking wasn’t secure the day before we left Australia ! It took some clarification by email I had booked 1 night then I realised I needed 2 nights after a long flight so I booked another night However the cost then doubled for no reason ! The
price went up to &900 Australian a night ! I was quite distressed re the billing as it came up as Grosvenor Hotel not Clermont so I was afraid it was another scam ( it wasn’t that is their trade name ) I also didn’t know about breakfast being included Some eating areas were closed the first day ….if only we were told we wouldn’t have gone on tour so early and would have had a lovely breakfast in the beautiful room I There was a conference on at the time … they seemed to be well looked after and were able to access all the facilities well !
I found out about when we were leaving to catch a train for our next destination ! It was a very costly and confusing stay
Also our room had a very small & dirty double glass window which was disappointing although Victoria square is a fabulous and convenient central location for everything The dinner next door was a beautiful spot to go but you have to make sure you book in early to get a lovely table !!!

Standard room is small and walls thin. We had noisy neighbours watching TV until 2:30am and talking loudly at 5am.
Perfecta ubicación para tomar cualquier medio de transporte, tren, big bus en la misma entrada del hotel, bus para visitar los estudios de Harry Potter, etc Las camas eran muy amplias y cómodas y el personal te facilitaba cualquier cosa que pudieses necesitar, incluidas bebidas y snacks sin coste adicional. Lo único que no me gustó fue el nivel de ruido 24/7 proveniente del sistema de extracción de aire de la estación de Victoria que probablemente estaba ubicado bajo nuestra habitación.
The hotel was beautiful. It was very close to many of the main London attractions like Buckingham Palace. The staff were lovely and friendly. The rooms were very clean. Although they were a bit small, they were neat and attractive. There were several transportation options near the hotel and several really nice places to eat that were fun and affordable.
The only thing I would say was a problem was the layout of the hotel. To get to our room, we had to take 2 elevators (one of which was quite small) however, it is an older building so it is to be expected.

Glorious old building right next to Victoria Station.
Overpriced and tired, chipped paint and old carpets. Reception was a bit shambolic with a long wait.
This was a lovely hotel near the Palace which we were visiting along with afternoon tea (at a different hotel). Unfortunately we could only stay for one night so didn't use all the facilities. The gluten free breakfast was separate including toaster.
The staff, were wonderful, friendly and professional, looking after us very well. I wish we could have stayed longer.
The gluten free breakfast was limited and the bread quality not so good for such a hotel. This is a problem with all hotels though, there is a lovely spread but when it's broken down to what coeliacs can actually eat it's limited. The fact there was a separate area and toaster makes this a much better offer.
We were offered an afternoon tea at a discounted price about a week before our stay, however we had already booked one at a nearby hotel. If the offer had been given at the time of booking we would most likely have chosen this hotel.
