Nice Stay
Pros:

Nice hotel, but not near the downtown area as we thought. Very friendly staff and accommodating to our needs. Rooms were clean and bathrooms rooms were quite spacious.

Top tier staff, hotel location, and views - poor upkeep of the Villa suites.
Pros:

Hotel & Staff was amazing. The cleanliness of the room was not the best.

The poor rating may be misleading given the fact I'm not a fan of animals due to traumatic events of the past, but having odor and animal hair in the bed was just unacceptable.

I certainly understand and respect that many guests travel with their pets, and I completely support accommodations that welcome them. I'm simply not a pet-owning person, and it made me wonder whether there are opportunities to better separate pet-friendly rooms from those requested by guests without pets.

Pretty Good Stay
Pros:

Decent location away from outside influences yet a short drive to shopping and dining. My room was very clean and comfortable with everything you need. Even though I was by the elevator, there was no unexpected noise. Also convenient to the airport, yet no noise from jets. I'd stay there again if visiting Tampa.

Will never return!
Pros:

It was terrible. They over booked the hotel leaving us scrambling for somewhere to stay at the last minute with an early morning flight.

Cons:

The hotel staff were not helpful. Claimed to have contacted booking for a full refund but lied. I was charged in full on top of having to find somewhere else to stay since they overbooked the rooms.

Hidden gem
Pros:

Pros:

Not a great experience.

Room smelled of mildew. Elevators took forever. Dinner menu had no vegetarian options. Bar glasses were filthy. Gym was very nice, however.

Half of the lights didn't work. Soap took a while to come out of dispensers. Air conditioning worked very well.

Then they sent me a survey and that didn't work so I came here.

Worth every penny
Pros:

This was my first time ever staying at a Grand Hyatt, so I wasn't too sure what to expect. Needless to say, I was absolutely blown away.

The property is a bit unsuspecting when pulling up. The outside is rather plain and shares real estate with an office campus, but upon walking in, my jaw hit the floor. Everything was spotless and upscale, almost with a beachfront boutique vibe than a large-scale property. Don't even get me started on how good everything smelled!

Checking in was an absolute breeze. The staff here was beyond friendly and accommodating with any question I had. I even had a burn out lightbulb in my room and the staff was overly apologetic.

As for the room itself, it was equally as incredible. I could not find a single scratch on any piece of furniture. Not only was everything quiet and clean, but the attention to detail was unmatched, from soft-closing doors to high shower water pressure.

But if there is one thing it's worth staying on property for? The food. Wow. The Sunday brunch buffet at Oystercatchers was among the best I've ever had, with the entire trip being worth it for that alone, but the food in the lobby is also quite incredible.

If there were any issues I had to find, it would be the following:
1) Location. It's pretty isolated. There is a TON to do on property, but if you want walkability and/or ability to explore downtown Tampa, this might not be the best property for you
2) Bed comfortability. It is very comfortable, don't get me wrong, but it is a tad firm for my liking
3) Hallway noise isolation. Room-to-room and room-to-outside isolation are incredible, but hallway noise can travel VERY easily, even from staff down the hall

My visit to Tampa was for a specific destination, but honestly, this hotel not only exceeded my expectations but was even more memorable than my reason for visiting!

Excellent Service and clean facility
Pros:

We recently stayed at the Grand Hyatt to celebrate our first anniversary. It was a very special trip because this is also where we first met a year ago.

From the moment we arrived, the staff made us feel welcome. They surprised us by decorating our room with beautiful towel swans and rose petals for our anniversary, which was a wonderful touch.

Another detail that truly stood out was that, before we even checked in, they had already placed my favorite English breakfast tea, along with cream and sugar, in our room. As a frequent Hyatt guest, it meant a lot to see that they remembered my preferences without me having to ask. It’s that kind of personalized service that makes guests feel genuinely valued.

We also had a great experience with the food and beverage team. Bill at the bar was fantastic, and the bartender at the pool was equally friendly and attentive. Both helped make our stay even more enjoyable.

Thank you to everyone at the Grand Hyatt for making our anniversary so memorable. It was the thoughtful details, exceptional hospitality, and genuine care from the staff that made this stay one we’ll always remember. We look forward to returning.
