Neat, clean, well kept.
Need better parking (which is difficult to do downtown), but more options would be super helpful. ADA. Not enough spaces. 3 floor is too far for ADA. This needs to be fixed ASAP.
We liked that this was close to our race venue we didn't have to go very far to reach the start line of the 5 mile St. Patricks Day Race we participated in
We did not stay the full 2 nights everything was great until 2pm on Saturday March 14th. We understood that the hotel would be busy due to it being St Patricks Day celebrations going on in the hotel and outside the hotel. Unfortunately the people who had the room next to us were celebrating a birthday and they were obnoxeously loud! We couldnt enjoy the room or could we hear the rooms TV without blasting the sound. We inquired at the desk but their response was our quiet hours aren't til 9 pm No we are sorry or would you like a different room. We sadly cancelled our weekend short and checked out
The shower was an only a trickle and the A/C unit rattled all night keeping us up. The hotel is not especially clean. It was expensive. $193/night. Staff were nice though.
bed was comfortable
escalator didn't work.parking garage was sketchy.over priced vending
It was convenient
The parking
Only issue we had was our remote didn't work. But they came up n fix that the room was very nice and the bed was so comfortable.
Parking we got lost twice in the parking garage and we got charged. In extra $16 for parking.
That should have been stated.
There were many disappointments:
* The escalator from the 1st - 2nd floor is *still* broken after 1+ years of not working
* The shower door in my room (1014) does not stay closed. (I have reported this to the front desk).
* Other guests have told me about cockroaches in their room, that the temperature cannot be controlled, etc.
* My mattress sags in the middle and needs to be replaced. Other guests that I spoke with have told me the same thing.
* There are burned out lightbulbs in the chandelier lighting fixtures in the main dining room
* There is an "odd" coach outside the elevator on the 2nd floor. It looks like it came from a thrift store and does not match any other decor.
* Overall, the hotel does not match the quality of Marriott or Hilton hotels that I have stayed in. I feel like my stay was not work the money that was paid.
The overall presentation of the hotel is a bit tired with furniture in public areas nicked, stained or unstable. Navigating the hotel was cumbersome and additionally, the escalator was not in service and stairwell access difficult to navigate which was needful during peak elevator use.
We enjoyed our conference. The conference room was clean, comfortable and well appointed. Snacks were available for small cost, generous access to fresh ice water. Staff was exceedingly courteous and helpful from front desk, the restaurant to the housekeeping staff.
We read the reviews before we arrived and expected that the common areas would not be really clean (and they were not, but not horribly dirty), nor the escalator running (it wasn't during our 2 day stay) and that the room would be dirty (it was not - we were very pleased with the state of our room, even though it was not quite ready when we arrived and it was supposed to be ready). What we were not prepared for, especially for the price of the stay, was the lack of complimentary breakfast and the closed pool (due to a maintenance issue)! That was very disappointing, but otherwise, the hotel was nice and some of the other issue that people addressed were there (thin walls, hearing other rooms' alarm clocks, parking garage fee of $12 per night, etc., etc.), but we were prepared and not bothered too much by anything else. The staff were relatively friendly and the cleaning/maintenance staff was especially helpful! If it were up to us, though, we would look for a less expensive option that offered a complimentary breakfast, had a working pool, and didn't charge for parking next time.
Stayed for a conference, I was barely in my room and yet there were so many issues. 5 hours after we checked in on the first night, they gave our room to someone else.
---> Yes, they literally gave someone keys to our room to walk in while we were already there. All our stuff was in there, and thank goodness we weren't in there sleeping or anything (it was 11pm).
A couple we were at the hotel with also said that on Friday night, their key cards stopped working as well. They never had anyone walk into their room...but that's really scary when a random stranger has access to your room.
Walls were really paper thin, at 1145 (after getting the whole key mix-up thing fixed), we got back to our room and the couple next door was blasting music / tv. We could hear everything.
Then they charged us twice for the room, probably because of the key mishap (they had to sign us out of the room and then back in), but the charges on my card did not match the bill they sent me in my email. Calling in the morning to get it straightened out but...really?
The view from the room however was really pretty, and the conference was good. Although next time maybe ill just pick the hotel next door to stay at lol
There was an iron in the room, but no ironing board, there was coffee and creamer in the room but no coffee maker. When i asked at check out, the response was did you request a coffee maker? Really??
I booked this hotel for indoor pool which was closed the whole time I was there. The only good thing was the bar & bartenders were great!
The housekeeping was poor. We tried to get a full clean but was promised twice. We even called before 11 & checked with front desk repeatedly. They would only empty trash cans & bring fresh towels. Our pillows were like cotton balls.
Nothing
Nothing hear , no hot water, rude employees
I checked in alone. Getting in after hours was hard being that the main entrance doors are locked. Once I got to my room there wasn't an issue, until the next morning when someone unlocked and opened my room door with a key, unannounced. Once they noticed the door jam was on the door they left. By the time I got into my robe to look to see who it could have been, there wasn't anyone in sight. I've been working with staff on this matter to which i was hung up on twice, promised a call back that never came. And still don't know who attempted to enter my room, I was told a lock interrogation would be done, to only be told later that they can only tell when someone left the room and not when the door was accessed with a key. Oh and how conveniently they say there is no cameras on guest floors. This location is very unsafe, I would not recommend for women traveling alone. The staff is the problem.
lousy and no experience front desk clerk when checking in.
The cleanliness
The pool was down and the cleaning person walked in the room without knocking and well before check out
