Clean location
The room doors very noisy they need soft closing to save waking other guests
Great location and good rooms, lady at breakfast was so helpful even though restaurant was full she found space in the bar and couldn’t have been better. They stored our luggage for us and it was overall a good stay.
Shower wasn’t great and there was a smell in the en suite.
Good value for money
Tired
Its location was perfect for what we wanted.
The whole place seems really dated despite some attempts at making it feel more modern. Being charged for a room upgrade, that’s fine I asked for it. But to be charged twice because I wasn’t charged enough the first time was pretty poor. To be honest the extra for the club room then the upgrade on top wasn’t really worth it.
Breakfast good
Space in the car park
The breakfast was fine but I was a little disappointed with the tea making facilities as the water wasn’t sufficiently hot - it was from a coffee machine so perhaps that was the problem. It would have been better to order a pot of tea - that is my only complaint everything else was fine thank you !
Everything was absolutely fine but I’d like to add : The staff were exceptionally helpful in securing me parking in addition they were bright, bubbly and on it !
Convenient for the train station. Acceptable comfort. Breakfast options good.
View of Sainsbury's car park and the noise associated with deliveries etc.
A comfortable enough stay, but the rooms do lack some of the amenities which travellers expect to see in a hotel at this level these days.
We had the superior “Club” room type, but it had no bedside power sockets at all (and just one USB socket by the desk), and the large TV had no smart functionality (for iPlayer etc), and no ability to plug in an HDMI lead for an external device.
There was a handy fridge in the room, but it made a constant and intrusive buzzing noise, so we turned it off at the plug.
The bathroom was quite dated, and again not of the standard one would expect of a superior room.
Didn’t eat in the evening, but noticed the prices were quite reasonable. Buffet breakfast was ok, but nothing special. The cold fried eggs were particularly unappealing!
Overall, good central location, but needs upgrading and a little more attention to detail.
It was right next to the centre of town and the staff were really friendly. Breakfast was a great selection too.
The rooms were noisy, traffic noise in one and then the next one the radiator made noise. The place could do with a refresh, especially the "fitness centre".
All went well
nothing
This was close to the station and provided everything I needed, in particular a nice comfy bed. Helpful staff.
Had to carry my luggage up 3 short flights of stairs to get into the hotel.
Professional staff, polite and good facilities.
