They should be walking guests before arrival. 87 outside and the room AC does NOT work. I asked to be moved. Front desk said check 2nd room before moving, (they knew) it was not working, on way back to first room, met lady in elevator, I’m moving due to ac not working. Tried a 3rd room, not going below 73/74 which is too warm in this heat. I am a business traveler, I stay in a lot of old hotels, I can handle a lot of crap, bad air is not one! RUN!
.. overall my stay was made well and comfortable by Chyna - From Jamaica Queens at the front desk. I haven’t stayed at the Embassy in a long while and I don’t remember it being this way. The AC wasn’t working, they did provide fans but it made the night sleep uncomfortable. And the elevator situation needs to be addressed asap. I wanted longer than 10 mins at the peak hrs to get up to my room. Also the first room wasn’t that clean but they did accommodate quickly. But overall it was Chyna at guest services that made the stay less uncomfortable. She was patient with everyone and stay professional as I could tell I wasn’t the only one with a level of complaints. Overall I still love the embassy, I think they are just having a rough patch. I would stay again once that ac is fixed though! Big Shout out to Chyna. She is my reason for returning for sure.
The staff at the front desk were really nice and tried to be helpful by switching our room. The fact that the elevators and AC weren't working wasn't their fault. The location and parking at this hotel were good.
The AC wasn't working properly at the hotel; nor were the elevators. The first room we were assigned didn't have AC working and had moldy AC vents, a dirty shower, and wallpaper coming off the wall. We were given a second room, and the AC there wasn't working properly either (couldn't get the room below 75 degrees at night and 77 during the day). However, the second room was clean and did not smell musty/moldy. The elevators in the hotel were not working properly. Only 2 of the 4 elevators were working, and we had to wait a long time to come down or go up.
Loved the indoor pool
Everything was great
Hands down Tasha got us checked in with no problems and made sure we was happy with the room and told us let her know if we have any problems
Tesha took very good care of me, everytime I'm here. She really put care into her work!!!!
I recently stayed at Embassy Suites Richmond and unfortunately had one of the most disappointing hotel experiences I’ve ever had — especially for a Hilton property. Having stayed at a Hilton just last month in Florida, I was genuinely surprised by how far below standard this location fell.
Over the course of 24 hours, my family and I had to move rooms multiple times due to serious cleanliness and maintenance issues. One room had a non‑functional air conditioning unit and dirty sheets. Another had used towels and a bar of soap left in the shower. The third room had water running in the shower when we arrived, a wet floor, and a bathroom door warped with visible mold. Several rooms also had dust and mold inside the air vents, and the air conditioning never cooled properly.
Cleanliness throughout the hotel was a major concern. The elevators were unreliable, the building felt poorly maintained, and even the Embassy Suites sign outside wasn’t working — which unfortunately matched the overall condition inside. ONE OF the employees were not wearing uniforms, adding to the sense of disorganization. Although the food was complimentary, we were honestly didn’t trust the quality of food given the state of the hotel. Hence the reason we didn’t eat the food.
We originally planned to extend our stay for a baseball tournament, but after a few days of not sleeping and dealing with repeated room changes, we decided to move to another hotel entirely.
I do want to acknowledge that the GM and several staff members did try to accommodate us, and their effort was appreciated. However, the issues with cleanliness, maintenance, air quality, visible stains on walls/ceilings, and basic functionality were far below Hilton standards. This location needs significant improvement to meet the level of quality guests expect.
We did win the tournament though!
Air condition in lobby halls and most rooms is broken and has been broken for 6 weeks! Horrible horrible stay. Small bathroom, not clean. I honestly don't know how they have kept the Embassy name. Hot hot hot.
This man is awesome and so professional. You all have a hidden treasure.
Awesome service, Daryl was great and made sure all of our needs were met.
We loved our bartenders Shana and Taylor. They were fabulous and attentive and keep the drinks flowing !
The bartenders Shana and Taylor were amazing! They were so fast and very personable. I had the best time definitely would come back! The food was very quick and delicious
The only thing great here was the
Great stay. Breakfast was the best. A waiter Daryl was amazing!!! He went around to all tables while we were there talking to everyone. He actually remembered people who had been down to breakfast a few days.
We had a wonderful experience! Despite the heat, the staff made sure our rooms were cool as can be. The whole staff was extremely kind and excited while doing their job! Major shout out to Daryl, our food attendant! We all looked forward to seeing him every morning during breakfast. He made the experience feel like we were at home and not a hotel. Thank you Daryl!
AC was down. Was sweating as soon as I walked in. I thought it would be better when I entered my room but it wasn’t. I went back to lobby to ask the attendant was the air broken and he stated that it wasn’t pumping fully. He told me they were telling guest as they were checking in. I wasn’t aware of it at check in. No one mentioned anything to me about it.
The Embassy Richmond was the host hotel for our 2026 Graham Washington Family Reunion. The hotel staff was super attentive to our needs during our entire stay. Amy Allen and Anival El Salvador from the food and beverage team accommodated our game night and banquet with precision and professionalism The Hilton hotel group should be appreciative of their hard work and dedication to its patrons. Thank you so much for making our stay and our day that much brighter and better.
The complimentary hot breakfast was definitely the best part of our stay. The breakfast staff was wonderful, and Lisa especially made sure our table was always clean and ready each day. Her kindness and attention really stood out!
The hotel was wonderful, super clean, and hospitable. Our breakfast assistant Lisa was an absolute gem and made it her business to make sure our needs were met. Will stay again 🫶🏾
Service at the restaurant was great
