Pros:

I’m really glad I chose this hotel for my solo trip. The staff was extremely welcoming and helpful and the hotel itself is very comfortable. Great location with easy access to the Savannah and other restaurants nearby.

Cons:

I didn't like that current in the area left and the hotel had no generator to back up. The elevator wasn't working, staff were not aware and on the 2nd floor in the staircase the door had no handle to pull for us to get on the floor, very unsafe.

A lovely stay!
Pros:

It was lovely! The staff was great, nice, and attentive. The restaurant had great food and a GORGEOUS view of Port of Spain. Nice location. Everything was clean and overall I had a really positive experience.

Cons:

I think the rooms can use a bit of updating. They are nice and clean and functional, but maybe a tab bit dated. Also the bar closed before 9:30. It should stay open later.

A Good 3 Star Hotel
Pros:

An ok hotel, good for a few nights stay. They partner with an excellent taxi/shuttle service to and from the airport. Ricky was an amazing, friendly driver who made us feel comfortable the entire ride. Overall good experience

Wonderful Hotel, Perfect Location & Outstanding Driver
Pros:

We had an amazing stay at Kapok hotel. Its in a great area, near the botanical gardens, the magnificent 7 and places to eat, it was lovely and safe. If you do come we highly recommend Ricky the driver (Kapok Hotel will give you his details upon request). He went above and beyond. Highly recommend this stay :)

Pros:

Nous avons aimé l'accueil, la gentillesse le professionalisme de tout le personnel de l'hotel. Les restaurants sont bien agencés et les propositions sont variées. Le petit déjeuner est exceptionnel les chambres sont tres confortables.

Cons:

Alors franchement la seul chose serait la clim que j'ai trouvé trop basse et le fait que l'on ne puisse pas l'éteindre ou choisir sa température.

Excellent customer service
Pros:

Excellent service, the room was cleaned daily, and the staff are very professional. the kava staff were very friendly and profession when taking your order for meal. breakfast at the tiki village was superb and very well prepared. will definitely recommend this hotel to anyone

Pros:

The room/hotel exceeded my expectations from the lobby on up. Chaz at the reception area is a true asset to this hotel. He was very pleasant and was extremely helpful in recommending and directing my husband & I to a 'dress-up' restaurant to go to. Also, I appreciated when we got up to the room he gave us a call asking if the room was to our liking. That was a nice, caring touch. Only stayed for 1 night but I will definitely go and stay there when I go back to Trinidad. I stayed in the suite with the balconey.

Cons:

The breakfast at Tiki Village upstairs was truly BASIC. Unremarkable. No local cuisine on the menu. I didn't enjoy. It did not live up to the overall experience(s) that I got from the hotel and of the Kava restaurant.
