Basic option, clean, decent but not outstanding.
Pros:

It is a decent less expensive option in downtown Stamford.

Cons:

No breakfast -just a very basic self service coffee bar. No fresh brewed coffee in lobby?!! Expensive parking fees compared to other local garages.

Pros:

When I booked, it stated light complimentary breakfast. But that turned out to be coffee from 6-8. The location was great. Bed was great. Pillows were broken up memory foam, so a little lumpy. Could use and update and better cleaning. Didn’t realize I was going to have to pay for parking, but it’s possible that I just missed that in the description. Overall, would stay again.

disappointed
Pros:

staff was very kind. suite was large

Cons:

extremelyyyy outdated and did not seem to fit the image. I ended up leaving early. rust everywhere in the bathroom, floors cracking, toilet leaking, broken wall phone, loads of awkward empty space around the room. definitely a deal
compared to other hotels in the area but I wouldn't stay here again.

It served the purpose. However, it wasn’t easy for my 90 mother, who is not handicapped. May not choose it again.

Cleanliness, slippery tub, hair dryers with such clogged link traps they are a fire hazard.

Great Stay
Pros:

I love everything about The Stamford. I was going back for the 2nd time in less than a year for a stay of 16 days. It was wonderful to meet some of the familiar staff members such as Daniel Willis, who manages the front desk operations and also Maria.
I love the room we booked. It is a great size with very comfy beds and sheets. The counter in the bathroom has ample space for 2 people. Lighting is great too.
There is a little store in the lobby where you have options for light meals, meds and other essentials. They provide toasting and there is a microwave if you need anything heated
Of course, you get a great deal if you book early and pay right then. However, we live in uncertain times now and may need to pay little more if you need to cancel.

Cons:

There was very little not to like this time. I did not face any issues with the hot water and room cleaning like the last time.
If I was being picky, I would prefer if the heat/air con vent made less noise but it did not bother me as much, once my attention was off it.

Old, dark, and not so clean
Pros:

Room is dark, only two small lamps. Small windows don’t provide enough light during the day. Bathroom dirty. Generally the bedroom and needs updating. The actual room does not look like the published photos at all. AC unit very loud.
