Pros:

A nice hotel, clean and neat. Price is excellent. We stay here all the time when going to see family in Roanoke. Loved the breakfast.

Cons:

Couldn't open the sliding door to go outside. Also we were very far from the lobby. With medical issues this was a long walk.

Positive budget friendly hotel
Pros:

Although this is a budget hotel and you get what you pay for as far as quality of beds and mismatched furniture, it was a positive experience with great customer service, CLEAN, decent complimentary breakfast and the good laughs we had from this adventure! So if you need to save money this is a good place to stay!

Some issues with cleanliness, but great otherwise

My girlfriend and I love staying at Baymont. Our heat in our home is currently being worked on so when it is extra cold outside, Baymont has become our go to place! We love the fact that they have a balcony because that is actually hard to find! I will say that our stay the other night (2 nights before this stay), the room we were given was unfortunately untidy and had a few issues as far as cleanliness goes. The sheets had several stains or spots on them, which made us think that they may not have been cleaned properly. The brown stains on the toilet and bathtub were quite thick, and there was a ring in the bathtub, as well as a dead fly laying near the drain. There was also a dirty wash rag hanging on the shower rod, which we personally thought was an odd thing for housekeeping to just miss. The stay a couple days after was much better and the room was much cleaner. The staff has always been accommodating, helpful, and friendly. The rest of the hotel is well maintained and clean.

Pros:

The beds was terrible. They move as you sit. The light fixtures had bugs. The first room I was in had a bag on the smoke detector. Housekeeping didn't take the time to take it off. Customer service was awesome. Breakfast was great. The hotel presentation is terrible. Windows need cleaning.

Pros:

It was very clean super nice for the price. And 1 pet stays for free so that was a bonus. Will definitely return for more stays.

When we walked into the room it had a musty smell my wife had to clean up the whole room because it felt disgusting they were stains on the carpet on the shower wall the noise was awful of everyone else

Unfortunately, this hotel and the rooms were not worth the $135 per night I paid.

Other than that, the pictures displayed beforehand to assist us in choosing Baymont Wyndham Salem, Virginia did not at all reflect the reality of the hotel. Run down, dirty, unusual smells in the hallways.
