Had a wonderful stay. All the staff were lovelyand very helpful and kind. The food was delicious. Highly recommend. Will return!
My family of 3 spent 4 nights over Christmas holiday, and La Perouse was perfect for us. The accommodations were comfortable and well appointed. The staff was all accommodating and friendly. It’s a beautiful property with amazing views. The breakfast was a nice variety.
I cannot say enough wonderful things about Hotel La Pérouse and its exceptional team. I stayed for a brief visit en route to Cinque Terre and the rest of Italy, and the experience exceeded every expectation.
Before my arrival, I received prompt and thoughtful communication that made the process seamless. After a short ride from the Nice airport, I arrived at the stunning La Pérouse, perched on a cliffside overlooking the Mediterranean Sea. I was warmly welcomed and provided with helpful insight into the property.
During my visit, I was able to tour several of their beautiful rooms—each offering breathtaking views of the Mediterranean. My stay was filled with personalized touches, a fantastic breakfast, and top-tier amenities. The front desk team was incredibly friendly and offered great recommendations for local shops, cafés, and markets.
The location is ideal—just a short and scenic walk to Old Town and its charming Christmas market, which was especially festive during my stay. Of course, the property would be equally beautiful any time of year. I only wish I had more time to enjoy the rooftop views and the stunning pool area.
Had and excellent stay at La Perouse. The location is really nice, right on the edge of the promenade and old town. Easy walk over to the marina or new town. About a 25 min walk to either Nice train station. Hotel staff was very friendly and fun to chat with as I came and went.
It is a beautiful hotel, very well-located, and with an amazing staff. The view of the sea is gorgeous. I think that if the bed had been a real queen-size, rather than two small beds put together, our stay would have been perfect.
The room was not clean. It had what appeared to be shaving hairs in the sink. They were black so they stood out. It was so obvious and all around the sink that it was clear that the room wasn't either cleaned or cleaned on the surface level with very little care. I was afraid to look in the bed and sheets. Found curly black hairs there. Again, because they are black they really stood out. The sheets also appeared quite worn with holes. That's the bad. The good is that it's in a fabulous location right on the beach. It has a very quaint courtyard and I recommend a room facing the courtyard as it's fantastic. The people who work there are also very lovely and friendly. I'm not sure I'd return based on my experience with this room, however.
Overall great hotel… Nice staff and very warm and welcoming …the room is bit smaller although we had a deluxe room and charge, anyways it was compensated by great Balcony with an awning …. So great place when the sun is out …
Good views of Promenade de Anglias…
Improvements :
1. breakfast it’s free for deluxe , but they still charge for omelette or hot stuff
2. The restaurant should be more considerate to Vegetarians or Vegan.. only one choice
3. The tours they recommend are good but be aware the guides just drive not explain about the place you are visiting
This hotel was a major disappointment. It looks old, with dark yellowish carpets resembling a hostel, not a 4-star property. The stairs are hazardous, the elevator dated, and my husband nearly fell due to poor floor signaling. As a Diamond member, we were denied an upgrade despite availability. The front desk offered zero luggage assistance. Staff professionalism was appalling; one employee rudely yelled, “just let it go,” when my husband struggled with the heavy door. Poor maintenance and worse customer care.
A 4 star hotel ideally placed close to the flower market and restaurants and for exploring Nice and surrounding areas .Serving an excellent breakfast and evening meal in the restaurant .
This is our third visit, and first visit back since the refurbishment.
The refurbishment has been done extremely well. All the things we liked about the hotel have been made slightly better, without disturbing the aesthetic or the rustic feel.
It is a wonderful place and probably the best hotel we have stayed in. The food (breakfast and dinner) was excellent, the wine list is great, the facilities are great.
HOLIDAYS in one of the best hotels of nice, Team parfait, Thannks to CARINA AND SOPHIE. We will come back next YEAR
We found this wonderful hotel ideally placed between the old town and the port. The staff were very friendly and the accommodation was excellent. Great breakfast and a lovely pool. Superb views. Altogether a fabulous place. Thank you.
Stayed in this hotel recently and was a very poor experience. There was a confusion in the booking and when we approached the manager she was extremely rude and condescending. Felt very uncomfortable and embarrassed by her attitude. Would not recommend this hotel.
Very disappointing stay in this hotel. Confusion over the booking & room spec …when we realised this & went to speak to the managers they were extremely rude and if honest … slightly aggressive. No reasoning whatsoever. We moved to another hotel close by the next day and received a very welcoming stay. It changed our perception of Nice for the better. Would definitely not recommend Hotel Perouse.
La Perouse is well sited with views across the whole Bay. Inside it is a little bit of a 'rabbit warren' but you soon get a hang of the layout and the lifts ensure it is easy to move around. Everything works. The staff are all lovely, kind and welcoming. Our bedroom, although possibly the only one without a sea view, was very large and extremely well appointed, as was the bathroom. The restaurant is on the pricey side for dining but breakfast is delicious with lots of choice. We didn't try other facilities but could see that the pool and sauna were much appreciated by others.
We like walking, so its relevant to say that this hotel's situation makes it easy to walk into the old town and beyond or to go in the other direction to the port which is equally interesting. Just a very few meters from the Hotel door is the interior lift to the top of the old chateau hill - a free treat that is a delight at any time of day but particularly at dusk.
Its a great place for a relaxing holiday for a few days.
Perfect location to explore the best of Nice and an almost perfect hideaway. Almost…
Prices appear to have doubled since the pandemic and plane noise can be intrusive around the pool when they’re flying into the airport from the east.
All of the staff were very friendly and helpful and we loved the location!
Everything about my 4 day stay was a joy. At the airport, a driver was waiting for me per my request. At the hotel I was greeted warmly and checked in promptly. Accommodations were lovely--a bright, airy room with a large patio and a glorious sea view. Breakfast was a large buffet with a wide variety of foods. And the one dinner I ate at the hotel was delicious. I will add that prior to my arrival, the hotel made several dinner reservations for me at local restaurants. All correspondence was helpful and gracious.
Nice hotel, comfortable rooms but small, breakfast was good, paid for sea view but not the sea view on the website. Check in was great but late afternoon front desk guy was very negative with wrong information about transportation to dinner in EZE at Chateau de la Chevre d-Or. Overall nice hotel and close to beach but very touristy area.
As others have stated if you’re staying in a standard room you’re forced to enter the dining area each and every time you want to go to your room. It’s a very strange set-up and should be noted at booking which it isn’t.
We asked for a different room and were informed (despite the hotel not being at capacity at all) that the only other room available was double the price. Which would have made the nightly stay $1500 USD Per night for a hotel that should be priced in September at about $400 USD.
Nice place and nice people in a nice location but the pricing and standard room pricing should make you run for other hotels that are better value.
