Location and atmosphere was very nice ; the saunas and hot tubs were awesome for the winter months.
The breakfast was horrible in the restaurant. However the pizza at night for dinner was great . It was strange , but coffee was bitter and just a bad breakfast and service in the morning only.
Pillows were flat too ; maybe offer regular pillows as well as the feather ones.
Rooms were comfortably furnished. Nice common areas and indoor pool and spa facilities. Staff was very friendly and helpful.
This hotel used to include a very good complimentary breakfast which is no longer included.
Exceptional! That is the word that comes to mind when thinking of Hotel Thaynes. We arrived on a dad / kids ski trip for 3 nights - a total of 15 people and everything was perfect. The place is spotless, the rooms are great and the staff is incredible.
Complimentary shuttles to a from the mountain as well as Main St. They make everything easy and do it with a smile on their face. Pool and hot-tub are on point! Hot chocolate and cookies after skiing - No problem!!! Ski Shop for anything - its all there.
I have stayed over 1,400 nights at Marriot's and this one is a gem.
This is a gorgeous property with a caring staff who went above and beyond to take care of me. I came to town, not to ski or for vacation, but to have a disc replacement surgery on my neck.
The couple of days before the surgery, I enjoyed the beauty of the property. It has so many nice amenities and is truly well designed. There is a tranquil outdoor hot tub with mountain views. I also enjoyed the sauna, and really appreciated having a laundry available on my floor. It simplified everything.
After the surgery, everyone took amazing care of me. I felt like the entire hotel knew I had undergone surgery and they were looking out for me. Just a few examples, the first day of recovery, my ice pack spilled on the bed and I couldn't lie down. Our housekeeper came in right away and changed the bed and got the room all set up for me to recover. She did it with a smile and got it done in 10 minutes. Also, the first few days I couldn't eat much. All I could stomach really was plain toast. My husband called down to the front desk, and even though the restaurant was closed, they made me toast and brought it up to my room. These may sound like small things, but it felt like family taking care of me. And when you are so weak, these kindnesses make such a difference.
The restaurant is also delicious. The food is high quality and the service is great. I ate all of my post surgery meals there because I couldn't ride in a car, and I enjoyed every one of them. My husband and I try to eat healthfully and there were plenty of options.
We also took advantage of the trail behind the hotel. It's such a perk! There's a nice long trail that actually takes you to town if you're interested. I couldn't walk that far, but I loved being outside, seeing the snow and the mountain views. It was healing.
I hope to be back someday!

We just returned home from a lovely four-night stay at this hotel with our family and could not have asked for a better experience! This hotel had just opened a few weeks before our arrival and everything was pretty much brand new. The staff here is WONDERFUL which made the hotel feel warm and inviting.
A HUGE SHOUTOUT to Brittany, who was absolutely incredible! She helped us before we even arrived with our reservations and truly went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable and well taken care of. Her genuine care set the tone for our entire stay. Ana was also incredibly helpful and so friendly—always welcoming no matter the hour and so happy to assist. I had an issue with checkout and both took down my information to help so I can get on the road to make my flight home.
A few thing about the resort that we loved:
1) There is a ski rental shop within the lobby which made it super easy to get the kids fitted for skis, boots etc and also to buy things we forgot (gloves, hand warmers, etc). Note that you do receive a discount through the hotel for renting through here.
2) The shuttle service to the ski resorts + Main street. Both Andy & Tenley were amazing —friendly, reliable, and made getting to and from the slopes seamless and stress-free.
3) The warm cookies during the afternoon Apres Ski hours were delicious!!
4) Our room hadn't been cleaned for two days but Julian from housekeeping came in the evening and helped us spruce things up fast - this was much appreciated.
5) The hotel restaurant serves really great food - the linguine was insanely delicious!
Overall, Hotel Thaynes delivered an exceptional experience with a great location, and an amazing team. We would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend it to families and skiers visiting Park City!
The hotel was better than I expected. Every part of the hotel was beautifully decorated and exceptionally clean. The staff is AMAZING, Art and Niko at the front desk can help you with anything you might want or need and if they can’t, they can suggest where you can find it and how to get there. The the food at the attached restaurant Versante was delicious and staff was very attentive, professional and extremely nice. And some personal extras that I extremely enjoyed was every evening from 4 to 6 PM in the lobby they have free hot cocoa and freshly homemade cookies for everyone and some days they had local entertainment down in the lobby as well. They have a little store inside the hotel with snacks and toiletries In the case you forget anything. The laundry facilities was an unexpected perk. And they have two shuttle vans driven by Gordon and Fernando (who are endearing) to take you downtown or to the mountains for skiing. Also impressive is the fact that they have an on site ski store where you can buy, rent or store all your ski equipment. The only negative is that I couldn’t stay longer, so we will most definitely be returning!
The property was great value for money, pool and gym were fantastic and the hot chocolate and cookie on arrival was a nice touch.
Nothing we had a great stay
Amazing property. Friendly staff
They charged me twice and called three times and manager still has not called me back and it over $900
Amazing restaurant! I had the sirloin and my husband had the lasagna and they were both amazing! Definitely one of our new favorites!
Amazing place to stay!
We have travelled extensively throughout the World. We have never encountered a hotel that was as horrible as the Peaks. We had a prepaid reservation at the Peaks for arrival on 07/03/2025, which was the day before the July 4th holiday weekend. My wife, who is hemiplegic, and I arrived at the Peaks at 5:30 PM on 07/03/2025. There was a sign on the entrance door stating that the Peaks was closed. I looked through the glass entrance doors and saw a lobby that was demolished and under construction. It was obvious that the construction had begun well before we made our reservation. There were two contact phone numbers on the closed notice on the door. I called the first number and was told that I had to call the other number. I called the second number and was told that they would do nothing to help us find alternative lodgings. As far as Peaks was concerned, my hemiplegic wife and could sleep on the street. Luckily, we found an alternate hotel. Later I left messages for the Peaks manager to call me and for the Peaks' reservation service to call me. Idid not receive the courtesy of a call back from either. Would you really want to support such a horrific hotel as is the Peaks? It is my individual, personal, subjective opinion, belief, and interpretation that I was ripped off by this company. Room was very nice and surrounding location and access to other services was very good
Various areas were under construction and was a little disruptive at times but understandable
