Overall a good stay and I would stay here again.
Pros:

Location was perfect to get to other areas in SF and Japan town is such a cool area to explore. The lobby and outside areas were really cool. The staff members were all very friendly and helpful. Happy they gave out free bottled water to guests during their stay. It was so cool to have a mall attached to the hotel.

Cons:

The balcony situation was dated and not very clean but it was not terrible. I don’t think the room equates to the price but I do take into consideration that it is SF and everything is expensive. AC barely worked in the room but it was manageable and we were able to get a fan from the staff which was helpful and made things more comfortable.

Most of my “complaints” I feel weren’t a huge deal and I was overall happy with the hotel and the stay.

Great location! Good vibes!
Pros:

The location was amazing! Japan Town is so cool - lots of great shops and restaurants. The hotel itself has a great vibe, and is nicely decorated. The lobby has free coffee/tea which was appreciated!

Cons:

Slightly outdated furnishings in the bathroom. Old uncomfortable mattress.

Very nice location in Japan town. Very nice Bonzai trees, comfortable lobby. Great cappuccino available to guests. Huge shower and nice bath area. We had a nice view of the area.

Cons:

Could not close off bath area from the room and step up to toilet.

Adequate stay. They need to finish construction around the area.
Pros:

In the heart of Japantown. Good sushi nearby. Expansive lobby.

Cons:

Parking is a bit of a hassle. Parking above ground at hotel $49 with no in/out. Parking underground lot $30/night lot opens 9am staff says they can assist if gate closed. Didn’t get locked in. Construction bins all around. Geary is a noisy street.
