#1) Condensation leaking from air conditioner onto walkway directly in front of my door. Room 197. Slipping hazard for my kids and I or general occupants. There was a caution sign on it and a bucket under the leak, but that's not the correct remedy. A drain can be installed by cutting the concrete, installing the drain and plumbing and finishing the concrete repair afterward. It's an inexpensive repair and it would only take a few hours to do. Total liability for the motel, especially since I parked in the handicap space directly in front of my room.
#2) The door under the sink had a broken upper hinge. I took a picture and sent it to mgmt to make them aware so the motel wouldn't blame me and keep my $100 deposit.
#3) Damaged microwave door. It stayed ajar but wouldn't open. I msg'd mgmt again to report this so the motel wouldn't blame me and keep my $100 deposit. A maintenance person came promptly and replaced the microwave within minutes. He even offered to repair the broken hinge, but I declined since my kids were resting and I didn't want them to feel awkward with a stranger in our room. Honestly, I wondered how many people are unaware of this kind of pre-existing damage and charged for it. An easy (additional) $100 per room for pre-existing damage. Red flag.
#4) Sadly, there's a $20 a night parking fee. I stayed 2 nights and was charged an additional $40... on top of my $100 deposit. Imagine if I hadn't noticed the broken hinge or non functional microwave, I would've been blamed and forfeited my deposit. There's a Super 8 motel next door that charges only $5 per night to park. It's also offered by Windham, but for some reason parking is cheaper. Check online to confirm.
#5) Exiting the property is a challenge. It's extremely close to the intersection on the left and a curve on the right, so you'll be stuck for awhile due to traffic during a busy time of day.
House keepers were super nice they check on you everyday if you need service. I’ve stayed at other hotels they don’t do that but here they do. Everyone there was friendly. Will stay there again.
That we had to pay $20 a day for parking and could never find parking.
