I enjoyed my stay it was a quick trip but I was accommodated for everything I needed.

A wonderful introduction to The Dana
Pros:

As we arrive to the Dana, the directions to the Lobby were nice and clear. We were promptly greeted by Amanda. She was very smiley and helpful. She was nice enough to notice that it was our 30 year anniversary, and she was able to upgrade our room and kept in mind our notes that I have recently had knee surgery and kept us on the bottom floor with a perfect view. She was a very attentive to our needs, and wants. She answered all of our questions. She also offered suggestions for local attractions and dining

Great stay starting with great check-in experience
Pros:

I usually don’t bother leaving reviews but I needed to commend the above and beyond customer service by Amanda when I walked in to get a room without prior reservation. She was super helpful, friendly, and professional.

We decided to go as inexpensive as we can to San Diego, so I picked a room at the Dana that was the least expensive

We rented bikes on the property and ate at Firefly (great location and food). Very dog friendly

Nice hotel with great view.
Pros:

We had a large sliding glass door with a nice balcony and a bay view. The room size was large. All of the amenities were excellent. We enjoyed the pool. We went to the restaurant for breakfast and they brought burnt French toast twice!

Room is ALWAYS comfortable, safe secure, location is fantastic. My favorite hotel to stay for work when in town. Ease of check out.

Cons:

The charges were confusing. Booked through a third party which makes add ons challenging for the hotel staff.

The location. Also, the rooms were clean and comfortable.

Cons:

I didn't like that the hotel charged over $100 more than the total I was told by booking.com. They charged an additional $20 a day resort fee plus an additional $35 a day to park even though there were parking spaces in front of each of the motel rooms. I didn't like that the motel seemed to be catering more to children and families when in the evening at about 7:00 pm they set up a large screen by the pool and jacuzzi and started a loud and distracting children's movie that was hard to ignore while trying to relax and enjoy the jacuzzi.

Great place on the Bay!
Pros:

We had a great experience here. The staff is welcoming, the grounds are clean and we had direct access to the bay. We really enjoyed the rooms by the pool, they have a gated patio so the kids couldn't wander off. The chill atmosphere carried us thru the holiday. We could walk to other restaurants on the bay as well. We will be back again this year. Thank you Mary for helping with my reservations!
