Bed was comfortable. Room was cold and had to turn up the heat. Breakfast was nothing special.
Pros:

The breakfast was just OK for a weekend breakfast. Eggs were cold. Nothing special, that’s for sure.
The breakfast room ladies did work especially hard.

Cons:

I booked two rooms, for four adults and 1 child. When we got there, tired from a long day’s drive, there were two rooms with only 1 bed in each room. There was nothing for the child. They eventually brought a rollaway bed but this was very inconvenient, as it was late and the parents had to wait for the child’s bed before putting her to bed.

Not the best hotel choice in Beckley
Pros:

This is a very old hotel. It’s been updated but, it still shows its age. Too many pets. If you have allergies, avoid this place. Plus, they allow smoking on most floors so, even on a non smoking floor, there’s still the smell of smoke coming through vents.

Cozy and clean
Pros:

Friendly staff. Close to many options for food and shopping. 4 minutes from Tamarack. After reading a few reviews I didnt know what to expect but it was cozy and my room was clean. First floor was very cold and sadly I had a room on that floor. Lobby was clean and nicely decorated. Quick on and off of interstate. Only problem which I didnt tell front desk so wasnt that big of a problem but seemed I couldnt get my room warm. Maybe ask for room on second floor. Standing near window it felt like it was open. I needed to work in Oak Hill and have not been impressed with the options there lately so drove on to Beckley. I will be staying at this Hampton when in the area from now on.

Ok For One Night
Pros:

Location is great. Several places to eat nearby, gas stations too, and easy on/off the main interstate.

The hotel is older; showing some wear and tear here and there. Had to move the couch away from the wall in order to have enough power outlets. Room was clean though, and everything worked. Only one of two elevators seemed to be working during our stay, was super slow, and the elevator was pretty small, so guests had to wait on a regular basis.

Breakfast seating area was pretty cramped. But, food was ok.

There was a busload of senior citizens that showed up just as we did. This is probably more on the tour company than it is the hotel, but, the bus load of luggage was unloaded en mass right at the front door, so every other guest with their own luggage had to navigate around all the buses' luggage, and over the curbs while some 50+ suitcases sat in the guest pick-up/drop off area. Pretty inconvenient for every other guest that didnt arrive on the bus.

Hotels employees were all pleasant.

Very disappointed
Pros:

Tv screen was blue, no help, the side chair was ratty and worn, (Salvation Army?), lack of outlets…had to move a bed. We are Hilton Honors and expect better. Complete Reno advised.
