The location was good

Comfortable rooms

Cleanliness of bathroom was terrible. Bathtub/shower had mold and mildew built up. Coffee downstairs was cold or lukewarm. Food was mediocre at best. Not enough parking space because many construction trailers park around the hotel. Avoid this place.

Clean, good breakfast, pleasant staff

The lobby has been nicely redone and check in went great. We received 2 free water bottles for being Hilton Honors members. They had free cookies and popsicles for the kids.

Our room was disgusting and outdated. I hope the shipping containers behind the hotel mean that they’re redoing the rooms! The bathroom had rust, mildew/mold and water damage.

Free breakfast was fine - it was all the same food you find at every other Hampton.

For the price I paid, I was very disappointed in the room and would not stay here again until the rooms have been redone.

This was my third stay in this hotel and it was a disappointment. The rooms badly need updating; it looked like the lobby and breakfast area were in better shape. My room had worn and torn carpet and suspicious looking black stuff in the corners of the tub. The sink was also dripping nonstop at a rapid rate. I will look elsewhere on my next trip through Beckley.

It looked like water damagel I requested Housekeeping service which I never got so they did takeoff one night room right very small crowded area for the breakfast a bit disappointing for Hampton Inn and expensive

The breakfast is good! The refill for coffee/hot water is very timely. All staff are very nice!

I was so disappointed in this hotel and our room.

The front desk staff upon check in seemed overwhelmed, in subsequent days (we stayed here for 5 days) the front desk staff were very kind and helpful.

Pros:
1. They’re pet friendly.

2. Staff were kind and helpful.

3. They have a mini fridge and microwave in the room.

Cons:
1. Much of the parking was being used by huge containers. There were multiple times we struggled to find parking if we weren’t back before dinner, and one night we even had to park at a restaurant nearby.

2. The rooms, walls, floors, tvs…really everything… was dated. There was rust, peeling paint, and missing caulk in the bathroom. The pillows were down or batting that was aged and clumpy. The bed was incredibly hard and both my husband and myself have sore hips and joints from the bed. The tvs haven’t been updated so you can only get live tv. And, the tv stand was obviously damaged on the bottom.

3. There was light coming around the curtains and front door that made sleeping and staying asleep difficult.

4. They don’t really have a pet relief area. (See photos).

5. The bathroom was small and didn’t have a place for hand towels to go. It also had a fabric curtain that caused very wet floors.

**The front desk told us they’re being remodeled in August, so if you’re looking to stay here consider waiting until they’re finished remodeling if your dates are flexible.

Location

The room was clean, nicely furnished, and quiet. Staff were pleasant and professional. Breakfast quality and selection were good (but not spectacular).

Everything suited our needs and comforts. Breakfast was very good and our location was just where we needed it.
