The first room they put me in smelled like smoke and wasn't clean. The second room they switched me to was horrendously not clean and had old dried dog poop under the bed that nobody cleaned. I didn't find that until after I spent the night 🙃

I have stayed at the La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham Oakland/Hayward multiple times, and it has truly become my home away from home. I especially want to recognize Fernando, the manager, for his outstanding leadership and exceptional hospitality. He goes above and beyond to ensure guests feel welcomed, valued, and well taken care of. His professionalism and genuine kindness set the tone for an outstanding guest experience.
The hotel is always clean, the rooms are spacious and well-maintained, and the location is perfect for both business and leisure travel. The complimentary breakfast is absolutely delicious and one of the highlights of my stay. It’s refreshing to find a hotel that offers such a generous and satisfying breakfast each morning.
If I could make one suggestion, it would be to add a few vegan breakfast options. Offering items such as plant-based yogurt, dairy-free milk (oat or almond), vegan butter, vegan breakfast sandwiches or sausage, and other plant-based protein options would make an already excellent breakfast even more inclusive for guests with different dietary needs.
Thank you, Fernando, and the entire La Quinta team, for consistently providing such exceptional service. I always look forward to staying here and highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting the Hayward/Oakland area!
