Usual DoubleTree Standard.
Pros:

The hotel was of the usual DoubleTree standard so you know what you are getting. As we stayed on Valentines Day, there was a long queue for check in but they brought extra staff to deal with it. Room was spacious and clean. Didn't use any facilities or eat/drink there, so can't comment. Car parking charge a little irritating.

Good value, ideal for family weekend break

Wasn’t great value for the money
Pros:

The staff were friendly and welcoming. The reception and restaurant areas were nicely decorated as expected for a Hilton Double Tree. Comfortable beds, big fluffy towels and the room was big.

Cons:

Sadly, the breakfast buffet wasn’t great and the cooked food was stone cold and unappetising. The swimming pool and spa facilities were disappointing and were much smaller than they appeared in the photos and half of the tiny pool was sectioned off for 2 children’s swimming lessons. Children were using the small sauna and spa. The small open changing room was dated and the towel was so small it didn’t go round me and I’m a size 10.
The bedroom could do with a refresh and the toilet didn’t flush properly.

Really mouldy
Pros:

The staff were friendly and helpful

Cons:

The hotel room was very mouldy as was the leisure centre. The bed was very hard. The ceiling paint was cracking and there was unfinished diy in bathroom. The view was of a construction area!!!

Superb value, great staff, very relaxed, close enough to the CBS

Don't use the restaurant or bar

Breakfast was really good

Cons:

The restaurant/bar was terrible.. we waited over 40 mins to get served despite asking 4 times .. then waited ages to actually get our drinks & even longer for food... if we stay here again we will get a pizza delivery .. food wasn't fantastic either
