Pros:

Clean hotel but not the best location. No breakfast offered as in other Marriott’s. Front desk were all very personable. Pool and jacuzzi were not available as per advertised in listing. Room was very clean and nice sized. We ate dinner at the restaurant located in building and that was nice food. Mattress needs replacing.

Cons:

The mattress was very lumpy and old. Really needs replacing. Location was not very appetizing except the view of the river. No place to walk around. No breakfast was included. Below standards of other Marriott’s. We would not return.

Disappointing pricey and unclean
Pros:

Beautiful setting. Great breakfast and breakfast staff

Cons:

Floors dirty every morning. Throughout the main floors and stairs vs elevator. Cleaning staff working at 8:30 9am. Should’ve been done overnight. Should be cleaning where we are sitting and visiting
Shower was dirty and with dirty shower floor and moldy seams. Washcloth with holes. Patio furniture full of water. Post storm was there for 4 nights 5 days. Furniture never cleaned up. The hotel not well kept up. The ac blowing black out onto the sheets in the room

Great Hotel, Luxurious Stay

Disappointment
Pros:

Front desk staff was friendly and we were able to check in early.

Cons:

The pool was closed. The bed was very uncomfortable and lumpy. We asked for our room to be cleaned and came back to find it hadn't been touched. People left their dog in the room and it whined every morning. Room was supposed to have free breakfast but not on Sunday.

Very disappointing stay. I would not recommend this hotel.

The refrigerator in our room did not work. The towels were dirty and covered with stains. The bed sheets also had stains, which was completely unacceptable. The shower curtain was filthy, and the room curtains were dirty as well.

The swimming pool was closed, but there was no notice anywhere before or during check-in informing guests about it. This was very disappointing, especially since we chose this hotel partly because of the pool.

The worst part was the customer service. The staff simply did not seem to care about any of these problems. They were unhelpful and showed no concern for guests’ complaints.

Overall, this was one of the worst hotel experiences I’ve had. The hotel was dirty, poorly maintained, and the service was terrible. I have attached photos so other travelers can see the condition for themselves.

Convenient location with free parking near Sioux City
Pros:

My family and I stayed in 3 rooms for 1 night in June 2026. Overall it was a good experience, although it had some disappointments.

I reserved all 3 rooms: two were double queen rooms and one was a king room that I booked with my Marriott points. One of the queen rooms was mine, and I paid a little extra to upgrade to a river view. When I checked in, my 4th floor river view was largely blocked by trees, so I only saw a sliver of the river itself. I had given the “free reward” room with the King to my family, and they had a full river view, much better than the one I had paid for.

I also prefer a separate / standalone shower. I was disappointed to learn that my room had a tub/shower combination, but both of the other two, cheaper rooms had standalone showers. We checked in late after a long day of driving, otherwise I may have been tempted to switch rooms. If you have a preference for this, inquire at check in.

I was pleased that all the rooms were ready early, long before our arrival. It was great to get the notification on the app so it was one less thing to stress about as we drove.

There was plenty of parking and it was no additional charge.

While I do not normally appreciate a tub/shower combo, the bathroom at least had been updated and the tub was more of a soaking tub. I ended up taking a quick shower for cleanliness then spent some time soaking in the tub for relaxation. The tub had a curved back and lots of space for toiletries. There was also a makeup mirror in the bathroom.

Beds were comfortable and rooms were clean. There was a hydration station on my floor but 4th floor was missing an ice machine.

Overall pleasant stay and met our needs for 1 night.
