Pros:

Las.instalaciones, el café o chocolate caliente que puedes pedir

Cons:

Tenderloin es un lugar con muchos homeless sin embargo me gusto mas el hotel que en otras zonas, sacrificaría la zona por las instalaciones del hotel

Could’ve been good, but the state was spoiled by terrible Internet and ineffective, disingenuous staff.
Pros:

Good location, close to Union Square. The staff were quite friendly though, often ineffectual.

Cons:

I had no Internet in my room for the entirety of my stay. The staff repeatedly tried to fix this but what unable to do so. I asked for some kind of compensation and they undertook to email me on the day of my departure. They did not do so.

Literal "room" for improvement
Pros:

The location of the Andrew in Union Square was fine, the story behind the space (old Turkish bath house), the old elevator, the tiny rooms - quaint. Love it. That's why I booked here: charm . However, there are a few things that need remediation:

1. Front desk staff - This is your first impression, so it is best to do it well. I saw at least two different men staffing the small desk. Although polite, there was no formal greeting, no welcome, no connection. More like, "Checking in? Name?" The interest for one man was more in his cell phone. Will he look up? When I came down the next morning suggesting better black out curtains that FIT the size of the window, the suggestion was all but dismissed. Note: acknowledge the concern. Let me know where to buy a sleep mask. Three nights with a gap wide enough around two separate windows for enough light spillage to actually read in the dark. (see photo).
2. Breakfast - sorry, but standard doughnuts and a coffee machine, a bowl of fruit from which to grab an apple - does not a breakfast make. Please change wording to "continental breakfast" or "Grab and Go". Coffee machine here was good in that it allowed for a variety of coffee outcomes.
3. Cleanliness - room was clean. Bed was beautifully made each day. Fresh towels. However, someone needs to scrub the grout in the shower as it was moldy. I know, San Francisco + humidity = mold is bound to happen. But this was overdue for a scrub and a resealing.

To management: all of these fixes are easy. You've got this! .

The Andrews is a great place to "go home" after doing whatever you are doing in San Francisco.
Pros:

Check in was easy, the room was beautiful(501). How I love a 10 foot ceiling with ceiling fans, and big curved windows.
Bed (king) and pillows were incredibly nice.
Not everyone will want to deal with the cute little elevator, but we are healthy and we love tiny elevators.
Housekeeping was really nice-- made our bed and tidied without disturbing our belongings.
Love the safe.
I like how the hotel and Fino work hand in hand to take care of customers. Best Italian food--delicious, perfectly prepared, and fairly priced. Had a delicious cocktail, too.
Convenient to Union Square.

Cons:

I am such a breakfast and bread snob, so take this as you will, but higher quality pastries/bagels would be much appreciated.

Good place to stay as a solo traveler with comfortable room and bed and in a great location.
Pros:

Room cleanliness; very comfortable bed; sun filled room; location; breakfast doughnuts

Cons:

Lobby chairs must be set in place to improve esthetics; lobby needs welcoming flowers/plants; better hallway lighting; hallway carpet needs updating/cleaning; elevator metal expandable door needs to be dusted; bathrooms too small ( but good for 1 person)
